'Carpool Karaoke' teaser shows BTS having a ball with James Corden as they sing 'ON'
The K-pop heartthrobs BTS have been creating a huge splash with the music-loving public ever since their inception in 2013. The seven-member boyband has consistently commanded the attention of millions of fans ever since they first picked up their microphones. Every single move of theirs seems to spark a trending topic on Twitter, thanks to their massive online following which currently stands at combined 90M fans on social media.
This time, following over a million tweets from their ever-zealous BTS ARMY fan club, who practically demanded their appearance on James Corden's popular Carpool Karaoke segment, they will be featured on 'The Late Late Show With James Corden' on February 25.
Along with a now-concluded appearance on Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show' on February 24, this comes as part of their promotional tour for their recently released album 'Map Of The Soul: 7' which is already on pace to eclipse the album sales of Ozzy Osbourne, Lewis Capaldi and Stormzy combined. This new LP is guaranteed to be their second UK No. 1 album, considering that their previous album 'Map of the Soul: Persona' also became a UK No.1 when it released in 2019.
'The Late Late Show with James Corden' recently aired a teaser for BTS' upcoming appearance on the show. You can check it out here. Emblazoned with the Twitter hashtag "#BTSCarpoolTomorrow", the new trailer features the Bangtan Boys having a ball, cracking jokes and singing along with the permanently jolly host, James Corden.
Calling BTS "the biggest band in the world," the clip starts off with Corden thanking the busy group for helping him get to work that day.
The BTS rapper RM, who is seen sitting in the car's front seat, tells James that the band considers it a pleasure. The whole car is also seen rocking out and singing to their catchy newly-released single 'ON' from 'Map of the Soul: 7'. Throughout the teaser clip, the group is seen in high spirits, thanks to James Corden. At one point, Jin even calls him "a joker guy" all the way from the back seat.
He enjoys eliciting laughs out of Jin and Jimin and at the end of the trailer can be seen asking the seven members, "Is this your way of asking me to join the band?" The whole band's response isn't that favorable, however, and James is forced to admit defeat — it's all in good humor though.
Make sure you catch the band's appearance on CBS network's 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' at 12.35 am ET on February 25.
