Kim Zolciak turns 45! No room for divorce drama as 'RHOA' alum celebrates birthday without ex Kroy Biermann
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Kim Zolciak is celebrating her 45th birthday as a newly single woman. On Friday, May 19, the former 'RHOA' star marked her first birthday since she and her husband Kroy Biermann filed for divorce earlier this month.
While Zolciak and her six children will be having a family celebration, a source reveals that the NFL alum will not be involved in the festivities. "She's celebrating at home with all the kids," an insider told People. "Kroy is not invited to the celebration even though he's in the house still." The source also mentioned that Zolciak "is in good spirits."

Custody battle ensues after Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann's divorce
On May 5, Biermann filed for divorce from Zolciak, followed by her separate filing on May 8. The couple, who had been married for almost 12 years, is seeking legal separation. In the divorce filings, Biermann has requested sole legal and physical custody of their four minor children. On the other hand, Zolciak has requested primary physical custody of the children with joint legal custody. Additionally, she has also requested spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name.
"She's not cutting the kids off from Kroy," a source told People. "She wants him to be involved as their dad." "All the kids are still in contact with Kroy. There is no drama between Brielle, Ariana and Kroy yet. They want to have a relationship with him and Kim supports that," the source added. "Divorce is terrible but the kids are going to have to go through this in a very public manner. They were both very involved parents and they both deserve to share custody and anyone that knows them would agree."
Amid the escalating divorce proceedings, Zolciak is adjusting to the reality of celebrating holidays as a single parent. On Mother's Day, she shared a series of pictures with her twins on her Instagram Story, showcasing their special moments together. Despite the ongoing divorce, both Zolciak and Biermann continue to reside in their Georgia home for the time being, maintaining their living arrangements while navigating the separation.
"It's easier for the kids for now," an insider told People. "But also, neither wants to move, and it will obviously get complicated." Another source recently said that "everyone expects this divorce is going to get really bad because neither of them will give in." Both Zolciak and Biermann have chosen to remain silent about their divorce in public, opting not to address the details or reasons behind their separation.
