Kim Zolciak celebrates Mother's Day with twins
The former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star was out and about celebrating Mother's Day with her children amid her ongoing legal battle with ex-husband Kroy over primary custody of their six children. Kim has also been in the news lately after being spotted without her wedding ring just days ago. Kim shared several photos on Instagram from a family function at her children's school, where she was seen spending time with her 9-year-old twins, Kaia and Kane.
In the pictures, Zolciak and her children were all dressed in their school uniforms, with the mother wearing a matching blue jean top and bottoms. She wrote on one the pictures with both twins, "Muffins with mom yesterday", while in a picture featuring her daughter, she wrote, "Blessed beyond". Despite the public display of family togetherness, it's unclear whether Kroy was present at the school event or if he spent the day with the couple's other children. Zolciak and Biermann have been locked in a legal battle over primary custody of their six children since filing for divorce last month.
Who gets child custody-Kim Zolciak or Kroy Biermann?
It's been a tumultuous time for Kim and Kroy. On May 8, Kim filed to end their 11-year marriage, and it quickly emerged that the couple owes the IRS a whopping $1.1 million in unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties from 2013, 2017, and 2018. If that wasn't enough, they also allegedly owe the state of Georgia an additional $15,000 in unpaid taxes from 2018. To add fuel to the fire, both Kim and Kroy have filed separate divorce petitions, indicating that things are getting very nasty behind the scenes. Kroy is asking for both sole legal and physical custody of their six children, without any mention of visitation for Kim.
He's also requesting that she vacates their family home - the same one that went into foreclosure earlier this year. On the other hand, Kim is asking for sole physical and joint legal custody of the children, with visitation rights for Kroy. It's clear that this divorce is shaping up to be a fierce battle, with both parties fighting for what they believe is best for their family.
