Kim Kardashian trolled over expensive skincare brand SKKN meant for the 'PRESTIGIOUS'
Kim Kardashian is returning to the world of skincare business. Following the closure of KKW Fragrance and KKW Beauty earlier this year, the Skims creator is returning to the beauty industry with SKKN by Kim, a new skin-care line. In a new interview, the reality star boasted that her new collection, SKNN By Kim, is for the 'prestigious' and that the hefty price tag is 'a necessity.'
She told The New York Times, "The products I was using that were comparable were way more expensive, not to compare anything. I tried to get the quality for the best price that we could, especially the vitamin C serum."
A cleanser, toner, exfoliator, hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C8 serum, face cream, eye cream, oil drops, and night oil are among the nine items in the collection, which come in refillable minimalist packaging. The cost varies between $43 and $95.
When asked how she plans to explain the exorbitant price to her Instagram followers, she remarked that the line is for the "prestigious", implying that the majority of them likely won't be able to afford it.

Fans slammed the new line's price tag and one person wrote, “My skincare routine is almost 100 % the ordinary. It’s cheap and it works for me.” “I mean.... to her, it's probably "work"... she probably gets all beauty treatments tax-deductible because of the nature of her career. To us, it's a luxury,” another added. “This makes me not like her even more,” another user remarked.
In the same interview, Kim also stated that she would ‘try anything to look younger.’ "If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might. I just might,” Kim added. Many on social media trolled the star for her remarks as one person wrote, “We know she was desperate but for her to say she might have eaten poop if someone told her it would make her look younger is…. Troubling.” Someone wondered, “She would eat shit but continues to deny surgery. Where is the logic?” “Why would she admit being willing to eat poop to look younger 💀 that is so embarrassing,” yet another user remarked.
Earlier in an Instagram post, Kardashian described SKKN as a rejuvenating nine-product skin-care ritual with refillable packaging and clean, science-backed ingredients meant to nurture all skin types, tones, and textures at all stages of maturity. She also wrote, “In all of my business endeavors, I've been fueled by my passion to fill gaps in the market with expertly crafted and universally loved products that are performance-driven, and I have carried this same drive and approach with me into creating a legacy skin-care brand.”
“What began as a psoriasis diagnosis became the catalyst for my journey of skin-care discoveries, inspiring me to learn more about my skin and how to care for it. Working with some of the top dermatologists and estheticians over the years has given me the incredible opportunity to learn from their expertise, and I knew I had to share my learnings,” Kim added.
