Kim Kardashian dragged for copying Lori Harvey's skincare line logo for SKKN: 'What a surprise'

Kim Kardashian has once again hit the spotlight with her beauty brand, KKW, which was recently relaunched under the name 'SKKN by Kim'. While KKW has been super successful, fans couldn't skip over the detail that was looming in their eyes. Both, the name and the logo are similar to Lori Harvey's beauty band 'SKN' by Lori. Moreover, people couldn't help but notice the similarities in the packaging also.

The 25-year-old model, daughter of Marjorie, married to Steve Harvey, launched her lines in 2021 and is fairly new. The line consists of five items - a cleanser, a toner, a vitamin C serum, an eye cream, and a niacinamide cream. This might be the one big difference between the two brands as Kim's SKKN consists of nine products - a cleanser, a toner, an exfoliator, a hyaluronic acid serum, a vitamin C serum, a face cream, an eye cream, and a night oil. The prices range from $37 to $95 and will be made available to the customers on June 21, 2022. The American personality said in her Instagram post, "I created this line so that everyone can feel confident in their skin, and I can’t wait to finally be able to share it with you!"

However, fans are not only noticing the similarities in the name of the brand but also in the marketing and the way the products are packaged. While one look at it will make you say the resemblance is uncanny, people were quick to call her out. SKN by Lori follows a teal packaging and SKKN by Kim follows a beige packaging. But the way Kim Kardashian got 'inspired' by Lori's cylindrical packaging and decided to pick it up, is not sitting well with the audience. In her interview with Teen Vogue, Lori Harvey explained her journey and how her line is inspired by it, "I have a skin condition called rosacea, which makes your skin super red. [My skin is] super sensitive and can get irritated by any little thing. It causes acne-like bumps." Motivated to help others, Lori came into the beauty line and boasts her vegan products.

One user said, "Kim Kardashian is back at it again (as if she ever stopped). SHe's decided to name her skincare line SKKN after Lori Harvey decided to name her skincare line SKN. What a surprise.." Another person said that they would have taken Kim to court by now, "#LoriHarvey a much better woman than me because I would be in court RIGHT now putting a cease and desist on @KimKardashian #KimKardashian skin care line." 

One pissed-off Twitter user called out their beauty lines and said, "So Lori Harvey has a skincare line named SKN. And now Kim Kardashian has a skincare line named SKKN. And I’m just wondering a) how mad is Lori Harvey and b) when will celebrities stop with skincare lines?" One user complained Kim's lack of research saying, "Kim kardashian: SKKN about to launch very soon. Lori Harvey: SKN launched in 2018 and already trademarked. Yep Lori has all the right to block Kim. Kim can’t just do an extra 5 minutes research before naming her skin care line. Rubbish."

But that is not it. Some Twitter users have pointed out that there is a company already by the name of SKKN+ and that both, Lori and Kim, have copied off of it. One user pointed it out and said, "People who are saying Kim Kardashian is naming her skincare line after Lori Harvey skincare line name 1. SKKN+ (BLACK OWNED) was there first 2. Kim and Lori should have done a proper research 3. Kim and Lori could have came with a original name #SKKNplus #SKNBYLH #skknbykim" Another user reminded the audience that SKKN+ was trademarked in 2018, "So SKKN+ was trademarked in 2018, but Lori Harvey still created SKN and now SKKN by Kim Kardashian is coming out?! It’s not adding up"
