‘Say his name’: Internet slams Kim Kardashian for not naming Kanye West while calling out his hate speech

Kim Kardashian seemed to respond to her ex-husband Ye who is formally known as Kanye West, for his antisemitic tirades on social media. "Hate speech is never OK or excusable," Kim wrote on Twitter. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end." The superstar was roasted after her tweet.
Ye had shared antisemitic tweets on October 8. He wrote, "I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE." The rapper then said that he can't be antisemitic because "black people are actually Jew also." Kim took to Twitter to respond to his remarks two weeks after her ex-husband was locked out of his Twitter account. On October 9, a Twitter representative informed Buzzfeed News that Ye's account had been locked "due to a violation of Twitter's policies."

As per Business Insider, the only other member of the Kardashian-Jenner family to declare support for the Jewish community is Kim Kardashian's sister Khloé Kardashian. Late on Sunday night, she shared a post from @jessseinfeld with the caption, "I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people." Like Kim, she didn't specifically mention Ye in her post.
Kim Kardashian tweeted after she was spotted out dining with Ivanka Trump who is married to Jared Kushner who is a Jew himself. Ivanka, 40, converted to Judaism after she married her husband, Jared Kushner, in 2009.
As people on social media assumed Kim was referring to her ex-husband Ye's antisemitic tirades, they roasted her for not mentioning his name in her tweet. One user tweeted, "Thank you, but say his name. Your kids are watching." Blaming Kim for taking this long to respond, one user wrote, "I’m not a fan of her by any means, but he’s already shown dangerous behavior towards her. I don’t blame her for not saying his name. I do blame her for taking several days to speak out." Another user said, "He made these comments days ago, and you are just now speaking out. You should have done so immediately. You don’t need a PR team to formulate a response to this. I’ve always thought you were part what’s wrong with American culture, turns out, I was right." "You met with Ivanka Trump…yesterday. The family responsible for a wave of antisemitism so maybe take a seat! Ps you’re not a lawyer," penned one user. Another user said, "… says woman dining with Ivanka Trump.. from a family who single-handedly unleashed hateful rhetoric in this country." "I guess she and Ivanka didn’t end antisemitism at dinner the other night," tweeted another user.

Some supported Kim for speaking out on the issue. One user tweeted, "Wow thank you Kim, you are so brave. Glad to know it was the so called “anti-semitism” instead of the so called “anti-black” rhetoric that led you to speak out you are a hero!" Another wrote, "Can you please somehow stop him from doing what he’s doing to us? And please don’t let him teach his hateful rhetoric to your children. Thank you." Another user wrote, "Always had respect for the hustle all the strong women in your family have but with this post you’ve gained a lot more of my respect. showing that you as a grown women can put your differences aside and think logically knowing what things like that can escalate too"
