'It's f*****g hard': Kim Kardashian gets emotional as she opens up about co-parenting with Kanye West
Kim Kardashian broke down in tears as she discussed co-parenting her four children – North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with her ex-husband Kanye West during her recent appearance on Angie Martinez's ‘Angie Martinez IRL’ podcast published on Monday, December 26, on YouTube. Kim said while crying, “It’s hard, co-parenting, it’s really f*****g hard."
Kim continued by saying, “I had the best dad and the best memories and that’s all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, that’s what I would want for them. So like if they don’t know things that are being said or what’s happening in the world, like why would I ever bring that energy to them?” And added, "That’s like really heavy grown-up s**t, that they’re not ready to deal with, and when they are we’ll have those conversations and I’ll be so prepared. But until then I’ll do anything to keep their life as normal as possible," reports DailyMail.

'I protected him and I still will'
Kim, who filed for divorce from Kanye after six years of marriage on February 19, 2021, and got it finalized on November 29, 2022, explained, "I definitely protected him and I still will. In the eyes of my kids – for my kids. So in my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on in the outside world and I’ve managed to - I’m holding on by a thread and I know I’m so close to that not happening, but while it’s still that way, I will protect that to the end of the earth as long as I can."
She also told, "None of the [other] kids have ever said anything to my kids, When stuff’s going down I protect stuff as far as the TVs and the content that’s on. It is [a full-time job]." She added, "If we're riding to school and they want to listen to their dad's music, no matter what we're going through, no matter what is happening in the world, I have to have that smile on my face and blast his music and sing along with my kids and act like nothing's wrong. As soon as I drop them off, I can have a good cry."
The former couple share joint physical and legal custody of their four children, and Kanye pays Kim $200K a month in child support. Both Kim and Kanye have waived spousal support.
