Kid Cudi ‘Man on the Moon III’: Release date, tracklist, concept and all you need to know about rapper’s trilogy album sequel
Looks like it is not only Sir Paul McCartney who is dropping a trilogy album this year as American rapper Kid Cudi has also finally announced the third part of his much-awaited album ‘Man on the Moon’. The 36-year-old rapper and actor took to his official Twitter account to make the big announcement where he also gifted his fans a video teaser of the new project. He captioned the post as, “THE TRILOGY CONTINUES...”
‘Man on the Moon III’ is a follow-up to his full-length solo project ‘Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ which was released in 2016. However, originally, the brand new album is a sequel to his 2010 ‘Man on the Moon: The Legend of Mr Rager’ which was a follow-up to the first part ‘Man on the Moon: The End of Day’ from the year 2009. Fans had to wait for a decade for the trilogy album. Kid Cudi had earlier also announced a project called ‘Entergalactic’ which might see the light of the day in 2021.
Release date
Kid Cudi’s ‘Man on the Moon III’ will hit the Internet on December 11, 2020.
Concept
To reiterate, the ‘Day ‘n’ Nite’ hitmaker released the ‘Man on the Moon III’ album teaser which did not give a clear indication as to what the album is going to be about, however, we can see the rapper stepping out of a car and smoking along with a few other random shots of the rapper. According to website Genius, in 2016, Cudi spoke about ‘Man on the Moon III’ to Billboard and said that the album would never come out. “I don’t even feel obligated to do Man on the Moon 3 anymore. As of right now, people should just get that off their mind. That’s not ever going to happen.” We are glad that he is finally dropping the third part of his much-acclaimed project ‘Man on the Moon.’
