Khaby Lame: Is the most followed TikToker all set for directorial debut?
Khaby Lame is receiving encouragement from a fellow influencer as he sets his sights on the film business. Lame will make his feature film debut at the Taormina Film Festival, where Bella Thorne's exhibition will also include the TikTok star's short film.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Lame's short film's specifics are being withheld for the time being. The Italian comedian has the most followers on TikTok thanks to his wordless parodies of popular life hacks.

‘Influential shorts’
At an ‘influential shorts’ event in Taormina featuring Thorne as the host, Lame will demonstrate his directorial prowess. On the other hand, the actress, singer, entrepreneur, influencer, and businesswoman will be promoting one of her own short films. Thorne stars in 'Paint It Red', her debut film as a filmmaker, which she also wrote the screenplay for.
Even though Lame has 158 million TikTok followers and may not appear like ‘fresh talent’, he is ready to get into Hollywood and start a new chapter in his career.
One of the initial steps in that journey will be his visit to Taormina. Thorne commended Lame for his filmmaking skills in a statement, calling him ‘extremely creative and beyond current’.
‘Khaby helps us to bring diverse fans’
Barrett Wissman, the co-artistic director of the Taormina Film Festival said that they were very thrilled to bring Khaby to Taormina for the festival. “It is imperative for us to always be developing younger, fresh audiences through new media. Khaby helps us to bring diverse, young, international, and Italian fans to our historic festival,” he added.
On June 23, the Taormina Film Festival 2023 gets going. The schedule of events for the festival will be released soon, according to its official website. We're eager to find out more information about Lame's significant debut and the movie he'll screen there.
