LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears' sons according to ex-husband, Kevin Federline, are reportedly afraid of how the pop star's fans will react to her claims. She accused that the teen boys have been "hateful" to her, TMZ  reported. Britney Spears on Wednesday, August 10 took to Instagram to address her relationship issues with her two sons,16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James, and ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Kevin and Britney's argument began over the weekend when a preview of her ex-impending husband's interview surfaced. In response to Federline's claim that the boys had chosen "not to see" their mother for months, Spears, 40, slammed her sons in an Instagram post.

A source who spoke to TMZ said on Thursday, August 11 that Federline, 44, claims Sean Preston and Jayden James are "in fear" of being "placed in danger" by "overzealous" followers.

Spears responded to Kevin Federline's ITV interview regarding her being a horrible mother in one Instagram post, which has since been deleted, "I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with … but COME ON."

Spears can be heard in the leaked videos telling her sons that they "better start respecting" her as she instructed her sons to apply moisturizer to their faces. While she threatened to take away one of the boys' phones for not wearing his shoes inside a store. It is unknown how the claim Spears made was received by the public since she deleted the post. However, an overwhelming majority of comments on Twitter were critical of Federline rather than either Sean Preston or Jayden James. Supporters of Spears were particularly upset with the former backup dancer for posting videos of the 'Toxic' singer disciplining her children without getting her permission.

One user wrote on Twitter, "What Kevin and his family are doing is controlling and abusive. They are punishing Britney for responding to the hateful interview they decided to do. It is literally a set up, they want her to react so they then have an “excuse” to post more stuff about her." Another wrote, "This whole situation with Britney and her sons is so sad. Please don’t message or send hate to her sons though, they’ve clearly been brainwashed by Kevin and the rest of Britney’s family and fans getting involved will only make things worse for Britney in the long run."

Federline is "disgusting" for "weaponizing" his kids with Spears, a source from Spears' camp told PageSix. In an exclusive statement, the high-powered attorney Mathew Rosengart told PageSix, "Whether he realizes it or not, Mr Federline has not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, he has undermined his own children, whose privacy he should protect." the attorney added, "In addition to demeaning himself and violating societal norms, he has now also created various legal issues for himself including, but not limited to, implicating cyber-harassment and cyber-bullying statutes, among other things."
