Kelsea Ballerini released her third studio album earlier this March titled 'Kelsea', which featured guest stars Halsey and Kenny Chesney and debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 charts.

Now, after only six months of her last release, the country star is all set to drop another studio album titled 'Ballerini'. The follow-up to 'Kelsea' was announced on Instagram as a surprise and is going to be a new stripped-down of her previous release.

The 26-year-old singer re-recorded all the songs on her March release and gave them a new, more intense sound during her lockdown sessions. Removing the polished production of 'Kelsea', 'Ballerini' focuses on the country star's songwriting and voice. To promote the album, Kelsea released the new version of the single 'Club' without the radio-friendly sound it had earlier. Writing about the song, she tweeted, "Wowwww I’m really happy you love the 'ballerini' version of club, because I’m currently shooting a visual for it."

The two albums, 'Kelsea' and 'Ballerini', are each other's counterparts yet opposite as they each contain exact same tracks but with completely different production. While 'Kelsea' is made for the party floors and large gatherings, 'Ballerini' is subdued, quiet and piano-driven. The 'Peter Pan' singer later shared the teaser for the song 'Homecoming Queen?' and wrote, "Previews of 'homecoming queen? (ballerini)' on the one year anniversary since it’s release!"
