Kelly Ripa has a wardrobe malfunction on 'Live!' while dancing with husband Mark Consuelos
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The second day of Mark Consuelos hosting ‘Live!’ with Kelly Ripa remained eventful at best. One of the highlights being Ripa having a minor wardrobe malfunction as her husband and latest co-host dipped her a little bit that caused her dress to tear a little during a dance performance.
Tuesday's show had the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ alumni Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy grace the talk show. While the two dancing veterans were teaching Consuelos and Ripa, during a dip that Consuelos maneuvered a little more enthusiastically, Ripa felt something was amiss. When she was back at the standing position, she asked Mark, “Did my entire back of my dress rip open?”

To which Mark answered, “Just a little bit.” Ripa, being her usual self, handled the situation smilingly and said, “It’s just a breakaway dress!” When her husband assured her the dress was fine, Ripa replied with a casual “Who cares?” and seemed mostly unbothered as she completed the dance number with their guests.

Tuesday’s episode could be quite memorable for the couple in the upcoming days for more than one reason. The minor wardrobe slip up was not the only highlight of the day, but the couple were also busted online for sharing their private bedroom matters on the ‘Live!’ making many fans react negatively to the new set of hosts on the show, reports The New York Post.
After declaring, “Most nights, that’s how I wake up,” Ripa said,“That’s my mid-evening alarm.” After that she also shared an audio clip of her husband’s snoring. This move, which probably was intended to evoke laughter in the audience, did not sit well for the regular viewers of the show.
One viewer commented, "These two together may be the end of this show, finally.". Another angry viewer said, "So the show has gone way down hill in 2 days." "Could Mark be any less comfortable? So contrived," said another.

History of Kelly Ripa's wardrobe malfunction
This is, however, not the first time that Kelly Ripa has suffered a wardrobe malfunction while being on air at ‘Live’. Back in February, she had to undergo the ordeal of fitting herself in a pair of emerald green trousers which appeared a little too tight for the mother-of-three. In a February episode of Live! (then ‘Live! with Kelly and Ryan’), in the middle of the show, Ripa suddenly started yanking her pants. On being asked by her then co-host Ryan Seacrest whether she was alright, she responded, “The dry cleaner clearly shrunk these,” reported Animated Times. Ripa received Internet flak for the inappropriate behavior and making Seacrest feeling uncomfortable on-screen.
In October 2021, the former soap actress had a minor wardrobe malfunction which she handled like a pro. In a behind-the-scene video shared by the show's Instagram page, Ripa was seen wearing a blue and white dress with a thigh high slit. While sitting down, the slit rode a bit too high which let the 'Live' TV star managed the situation with a laugh and said, "It is let your leg slit rise all the way up day."
