LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Over the past 22 years, 'Live' has been one of the daytime's longest-running talk shows. Now, the show has returned with a new co-host and it is none other than Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos after former co-host Ryan Seacrest bid farewell to the show.
On Monday, April 17, 2023, 'Live With Kelly and Mark', hosted by Kelly and her husband Mark, will usher in a new era of the series, which will be faithfully led by executive producer Michael Gelman for ABC network. The couple, who are not shy about sharing intimate information about their marriage and sex life, have mentioned that they won't be sharing "too much" about their lives on camera anymore.

Mark and Kelly set up boundaries for daughter
During one of his guest appearances on 'Live with Kelly and Ryan', Mark disclosed that they had to set the boundaries for their daughter Lola, who was extremely excited to be living with the couple during her the last semester of college. Mark stated that Lola now and then walks in without knocking, so that's when they realized they needed to make her recognize her mistake. He said, "I said, 'Lola, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, I'm very excited that you are home. We missed you. You are the heart of this family. You're so funny and you're just fantastic — but you got to knock. Because at this point, anything you walk in on is your problem.”
Kelly 'passed out' after sex with Mark
Kelly wrote in her memoir titled 'Live Wire: Long Winded Short Stories' that after the birth of her first child, she passed out during sex because of huge cysts in her ovaries. She was in urgent care when she awoke and criticized the fashion choice her husband made for her when she was unconscious in an excerpt from the chapter titled "Don't Let Your Husband Pick Your Death Clothes" which was shared by Haute Living.
"Also, here is my husband, who is, dare I say, stylish, well-dressed at all times, and yet he dressed me like a dime store prostitute in my time of need," she wrote, adding, "It's still baffling to me to this day that this is the best costume for the day that he could find for me, to the point where, when I was on the stretcher, I thought I was dreaming; I was having a nightmare. I didn't realize I had come to."
Mark and Kelly's key to a happy marriage
During an interview with The Cut, Kelly and Mark were asked about the secret behind their happy marriage. To which, she stated that sex is one way they keep it together, while Mark added that it's a big part of their connection and bond. "We're lucky enough to have a very active s*x life—we're both really into each other," Kelly added.
The talk show host revealed on the 'Quarantined with Bruce' SiriusXM radio show in April 2020 that they overcome all of their marital problems with sexy time, adding that they know each other well, and with that comes a certain level of comfort and confidence, and experimentation.
The couple knows how to spice things up
Kelly and Mark know exactly how to liven up their marriage as they make sure to keep the spark alive and are always looking for new ways to make love. Ripa admitted to having sex in a public restroom and on a boat with her husband during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens to Live with Andy Cohen'. She later revealed that they had sex in Andy Cohen's house as well.
Despite their busy schedules, the couple has prioritized what goes on behind the doors and is pretty much known to use cheeky captions in their social media posts to appreciate their other half.
Ludicrous sex rituals
In 'Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa', Kelly shared that during the pandemic when they were both working in different cities, they found a way to keep things spicy between them. “We had sexual rituals that were so ludicrous over FaceTime,—I hung the computer over a ladder so that I could look up to Mark and he did not have to see what gravity was doing. You get really close to yourself in situations where you’re separated from your husband for long periods of time.”
Ripa talked about the bracelet that she wore which informed her whenever her husband thought about her. She said, “Any time I touch my bracelet, his bracelet in Vancouver would touch him, would vibrate.”
Although the couple shared that they will refrain from discussing their sex life on-screen, especially during the morning talk show, we don't know what topics the loved couple could bring up on camera. They could share anecdotes about their sex life with guests or the audience.
