The much-coveted KBS song festival, ‘Gayo Daechukje Connect 2020' marks the year-ending with festivities for K-pop enthusiasts. This year, along with the power-packed performances of Grammy-nominated BTS, K-pop superstars TXT, Twice, Itzy and Mamamoo, the surprise collaborations are a major talking point.

The multiple collab stage includes P Nation’s Jessi and GOT7’s Jackson, fourth-generation superstars Astro’s Moonbin, Stray Kids's Hyunjin, The Boyz's Jooyeon, NCT's Shotaro, a surprise collab from the youngest members of four girl groups, Arin of Oh My Girl, Shuhua of (G)-Idle, Itzy’s Yuna, Izone’s Wonyoung, JY Park and Sunmi, Kim Yeonja and Seol Undo, a rap line collab of Bangchan, Chanbin, Taeyong, Mark, Joohoney and I.M. veteran singer Kim Yona was spotted in a special performance with Solar from Mamamoo. The Boyz rocked the stage with Sul Woon Do with the veteran singer’s classic hit ‘Twist of love’.

Fans can’t contain their excitement for some of these never seen collaborations before as their major Kpop crushes reunite in the glamorous KBS Gayo stage. Here’s a breakdown of all the collaborations that fans can’t have enough of.

Arin of Oh My Girl, Shuhua of (G)-Idle, Itzy’s Yuna, Izone’s Wonyoung

The youngest girls of four popular girl groups came together for the most heart-melting collab where Arin, Yuna, Shuhua, and Wonyoung performed a cover of APINK ‘MOLLAYO’ in a fairytale setting, looking absolutely out of the world in pastel-hued tulle dresses. A fan wrote ‘makne fairies’ fawning over the performance. Another posted, “Apink's Mollayo was performed at KBS Song Festival 2020 by (G)i-dle's Shuhua, Oh My Girl's Arin, IZ*ONE's Wonyoung and ITZY's Yuna, Mollayo is a song by a girl group who will be 10 years as an Idol Group next year.” Another shared, “they didn’t come but the power they hold wow”.

P Nation’s Jessi and GOT7’s Jackson

Another much-anticipated collab from rapper Jessi and GOT7’s Jackson is the major talking point for fans. Jessi has already performed her latest hit ‘Nunu Nana’ on the KBS Gayo stage. The duo’s chemistry set fire on stage. A fan shared, “The way Jackson just look at Jessi like that!!!! And how Jessi can’t help it but to want to laugh. They’re so cute” Another said, “the fact that jackson wang made sure that he would not lay a hand on jessi shows how gentleman he is!” A fan posted, “Jackson Jessi are on fire!”

The Boyz * Sul Woon Do

The Boyz won the K-pop Twitters' heart with a nostalgic performance of ‘Twist of Love’ with Sul Woon Do. A fan posted, “aww sulwoondo and tbz stagee!! they looks so cuteeeeee.”

Fans are super excited about one of the most anticipated collabs of the K-pop rap line superstars, Bangchan, Chanbin, Taeyong, Mark, Joohoney and I.M. A fan posted, “IM SCREAMING IM CRYING ALREADY” and, “OMGMGMOMOMOGMGOM RUMOURED RAP LINE COLLAB STAGE FOR KBS GAYO BANGCHAN, CHANBIN, TAEYONG, MARK, JOOHONEY and I.M IS REAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!”

If there’s one collab that would take the trophy of being the most energetic one, it has to be Astro’s Moonbin, Stray Kids's Hyunjin, The Boyz's Jooyeon, NCT's Shotaro coming together to notch up the temperature of KBS Gayo. Here’s what the fans think of the collab. A fan said, “Imagine.. Hyunjin, Juyeon, shotaro and Moonbin wearing a croptop while performing THE EVE. GRRRRRRRRRL!” Another said, “SKZ’s Bangchan & Changbin, MONSTAX Jooheon & I.M, NCT Taeyong & Mark. We crying tonight.” A similar tweet read, “I can imagine, how if the spectaculer stage. The duality of leader and main rapper. Imagine Bang Chan rapping and being dj. Also Hyunjin and Shotaro”.
