KBS Song Festival 'Gayo Daechukje' 2020 Red Carpet Top 10 Looks: From BTS and TWICE to AESPA's Giselle and Winter

KBS song festival, ‘KBS Gayo Daechukje Connect: 2020’, has started with a bang and K-pop artists have reunited on KBS red carpet looking dapper. BTS, Stray Kids, NCT, Aespa, Mamamoo, The Boyz, Aespa, Enhypen... KBS red carpet is adorned by the glams of some of the most loved K-pop groups all over the world.

Gayo Daechukje, the annual music ceremony hosted by the Korean Broadcasting System started as an award show in 1965 and discontinued from 2006 but the channel made an exception in 2013. This year, KBS Gayo Daechukje Connect 2020 is taking place without any audience to practice the safety precautions and the live cheers of fans have been replaced by the fans taking over social media to fawn over K-pop idols.



 

For KBS Gayo Daechukje Connect: 2020, here are the top groups who came to slay the red carpet looks.

BTS 



 

BTS who won KBS' fan-voted survey for artist of the year, song of the year with ‘Dynamite’ and best male group of the year, looked dapper in black, grey, and tan ensembles. BTS V aka Kim Taehyung sported an Alexander Mcqueen suit while group leader Namjoon was seen in a full-on leather look rocking that biggest boyband look. The group will also reportedly perform an exclusive ‘Dynamite’ holiday performance for the KBS song festival. 

ENHYPEN



 

Big Hit Entertainment’s rookie group who debuted through the reality show 'I-land' came to the show in an all-white ensemble. The group will also perform their Extended Play “Border: Day One’ in the music festival.

Aespa



 

SM Entertainment’s rookie girl group glammed up the red carpet look with white ensemble. The girl group includes Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning who recently debuted with their single ‘Black Mamba’.

Mamamoo



 

Mamamoo consisting of Solar, Hwasa, Moonbyul, and Wheein, jazzed up the red carpet look in all-black ensemble. The group will later perform their latest hit singles from EP ‘Travel’ from which two singles have been released including the top ten charter in Gaon, ‘Dingga’ and ‘Aya’.

NCT

SM entertainment’s NCT, one of the most famed fourth-generation K-pop groups came with all 23 members in black. The group will later perform from their latest album 'NCT 2020 Resonance pt 2’.

Stray Kids

Known as fourth-generation K-pop superstars, Stray Kids ramped up the red carpet in all-black dapper suits. The group has recently been the only K-pop group with their track ‘Back Door’ to rank in Time’s top songs for 2020.

TWICE



 

JYP Entertainment’s Twice who released their latest single ‘Cry For Me’ on December 18 rocked the red carpet with grey and black jazzy metallic inspired looks, The group will later perform from their latest release tracks including ‘Cry For Me’.

The Boyz



 

The Boyz have recently been the talking point after having a fantastic year, first with their reality show ‘Road to Kingdom’ win in the first half of 2020, later in Mama 2020 the group’s performance trended on Twitter. The group is likely to enter Mnet’s reality show ‘Kingdom’ next with K-pop sensations Stray Kids and ATEEZ.

Momoland



 

Momoland consisting of Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy, one of the most popular girl groups of Kpop came in an all-white ensemble. The group was originally created with the 2016 reality show ‘Finding Momoland’ where the show winners Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Ahin, and Nancy joined to form the group. Later Daisy and Taeha joined the group. In 2019, Taeha and Yeonwoo left the group, and Daisy left in 2020.

Tomorrow X Together



 

Big Hit’s TXT donned a dapper all-black ensemble for the KBS red carpet. The group will later perform their latest hit ‘Minisode1: Blue Hour’.
