'They just didn’t work out': Inside Katie Holmes and Bobby Wooten III's split after dating for 8 months
CHELSEA, NEW YORK: Katie Holmes and boyfriend Bobby Wooten III, have reportedly broken up after dating for eight months. Numerous sources confirmed the news on Friday, December 16. An insider reportedly said, "Katie and Bobby broke up last week; she's no longer [talking] about him to his friends. They just didn’t work out together for the long run."
As per HollywoodLife, Wooten and Holmes were initially linked together in April when they were spotted kissing in Central Park. The following month, she and the Grammy-nominated artist made their red carpet debut together while attending the Moth Ball 25th Anniversary Gala. “I’m happy to have [Katie] here as my date,” Wooten said at the time.

“Whenever they would go without seeing each other, they would kiss and be very happy to be together again,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly at the time, noting that both of them were “very affectionate with each other at all times” and “looked very in love.” The actress was even seen meeting and getting along with some of his family members, the eyewitness continued. “Katie spent time with Bobby’s family, who really liked her. Katie was very unassuming and kind to everyone,” sources told the magazine.
Suri Cruise, Holmes' 16-year-old daughter with ex-husband Tom, reportedly supported the relationship. “Katie has introduced her boyfriend Bobby to Suri and Suri absolutely approves of him," sources told HollywoodLife in June. “Bobby treats Suri like an adult, which she likes and Suri thinks it is great to see her mom happy. Suri is 16 years old, and she knows what love is and she knows what heartbreak is. She knows what it means when two people share a real connection and she sees this with her mother and Bobby,” sources explained, adding, “She is all for it. Bobby and Suri have gotten somewhat close because Katie has allowed this. He has been over to their house countless times, and he has been out with Katie and her daughter.”
Sources concluded, “He knows that Suri is Katie’s world, and he thinks she is a fantastic mom. He is an all-around good guy, and he has met Katie‘s entire family. They all think it is wonderful that she has found someone that does not want to keep her a secret and someone that will not be afraid to show his true feelings for her wherever they are at. She deserves this.”
Some of Holmes' exes include Jamie Foxx, Emilio Vitolo and of course, Tom Cruise, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2012.
