'Our little peanut arriving': Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter Cassidy expecting baby with husband Ben Wierda
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: It appears that Kathie Lee Gifford is going to grandma once again as daughter Cassidy Gifford has announced that she is pregnant and is expecting her first child with her husband Ben Wierda. The television presenter's daughter revealed the good news on her Instagram on Friday, December 16, 2022.
“A whole lot extra to be praising Jesus for this Christmas. Our little peanut arriving June 2023,” Cassidy, 29, captioned her Instagram post that featured a picture of three Christmas stockings hanging against a white fireplace mantle, with the one in the middle being relatively smaller than the two others. The festive snap also had two large socks knitted in red and white wool separately. Cassidy, the daughter of Kathie Lee, 69, and Frank Gifford, who died in 2015, was brimmed with positive responses from her celebrity pals, including Lauren Bushnell Lane, Lacey Chabert, Jason Kennedy, and her sister-in-law Erika Gifford. "God is SO good. Beyond excited for you guys," wrote Erika, who has recently given birth to a son with her husband Cody Gifford in June.

The news of pregnancy comes more than two years after the couple got married in an intimate backyard wedding in Michigan in June 2020 as it was during the peak of the Covid pandemic. “They’re planning on having a big celebration when it’s safe to do so in the future," a representative of the 'Blue Bloods' alum had told Us Weekly.
Cassidy and Ben tied the knot once again in November 2021 in Nashville. "I’m thankful for so much but above all, for you," the model wrote in the caption while sharing the wedding photos. "The whole day was really special," Cassidy told PEOPLE as she recalled the second celebration.
The couple is reportedly childhood friends-turned-sweethearts and their love story began after knowing each other for decades. "We actually met when Ben was 13 and I was 10. Our moms met through a mutual friend in the Florida Keys, and my family would always go for the holidays. Their kids matched up with ages with my brother and I. You don't always get along with your family friends' kids, but we hit it off," Cassidy had told PEOPLE at the time. The duo were always "best friends," however, it was not until 2015 that they decided to take the next step.
"It was very quick. It was only after seven months of dating, which I know sounds very quick, but at that point, we already had done so much life together and knew each other so well for so long," said the mom-to-be, adding, "Once we started dating, it was kind of a no-brainer for us. We were in it and in it completely."
