WINDSOR, BERKSHIRE: Prince Louis appeared in great spirits as he enjoyed a wheelbarrow ride in new delightful photos released to mark his fifth birthday on Sunday, April 23. His proud parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, posted a slew of adorable pictures clicked by photographer Millie Pilkington earlier this month on the occasion. "Someone's turning 5 tomorrow. A very happy birthday to Prince Louis," they captioned the post on Twitter.

In one of the pictures, Louis, wearing a blue sweater and shorts, was seen sitting inside a wheelbarrow his mother took him on a ride in the garden at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. The second snap captured him smiling while gazing off into the horizon, according to the Daily Mail. In a break from tradition, these photos were not clicked by the Princess of Wales, who previously described herself as an "enthusiastic amateur photographer.”

'The Late Majesty’s legacy is in safe hands'

The new pictures garnered immense social media attention, with more than two million views in just a few hours. Fans also flooded the comments section with praises for the little prince. “What an adorable little man and his mother is just gorgeous as always…. The Late Majesty’s legacy is in safe hands with you guys,” one user wrote. “He is gorgeous child. Seriously! Really good looking little fellow,” a second said while another added “The most handsome one at Kensington household. Happy Birthday, Louis.”

These pictures come after the late Queen's picture with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was released on Friday, April 21, on what would have been her 97th birthday. Currently, the royal family is preparing for the coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla. The couple will be officially crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6. The celebration will be attended by several close family members including, William and Kate.

Is Prince Louis going to attend King Charles’ coronation?

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be joined by their seven-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte, and nine-year-old old son Prince George who is expected to have a role in the service. However, it is unclear whether Louis will attend the historic ceremony. Earlier this month, a source exclusively revealed to Page Six that Louis might not make the star-studded guest list due to his misbehavior at previous royal gatherings. In June 2022, the young prince made news for making strange faces while attending the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee festivities. Apart from Louis, his cousins Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are also expected to skip the royal celebration.
