'The future of the monarchy': Fans dote on Prince Louis as four-year-old makes royal Christmas debut
SANDRINGHAM, UNITED KINGDOM: Prince Louis impressed royal fans by walking with the royal family to church on Christmas Day at Sandringham for the first time. The four-year-old, who won over the nation during the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, wore shorts and long socks as he walked to the holiday ceremony with his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince Louis walked a little behind his parents and brothers and grabbed his mother's hand.
A royal fan wrote on Twitter, “I was so pleased to see Prince Louis, he brings the sunshine on any cold day.” “The Future of the Monarchy following in the footsteps of their parents and learning about Loving and respecting their countrymen❤️😍🎄” another added. Someone wondered, “Can someone tell me why Prince Louis didn't wear long pants/trousers?” “The British Monarchy is very lucky to have the beautiful Wales family as its future,” another added.

Meanwhile, Prince Louis wasn't the only young royal to make his first Christmas walk on Sunday, December 25. Zara and Mike Tindall also brought along their daughters Mia and Lena for their holiday debut. Christmas in Sandringham comes after a break during which the late Queen spent the holiday season at Windsor Castle twice in a succession due to the Covid pandemic. The family usually dives into a lunch following the morning visit to St Mary Magdalene Church and the reception of well-wishers.
Following lunch on December 25 at 3 pm, members of the royal family customarily gather to watch the Queen's televised message. The family will witness King Charles' inaugural Christmas speech this year, where he is anticipated to pay his respects to the late Queen.
