Kaskade throws wild 'Redux 004' party from his backyard and quarantined fans have best time ever: 'Love new EP'
Kaskade treated fans to a live set featuring the four tracks off the latest addition to his 'Redux' series and fans couldn't help but party along, but all from his backyard.
'Redux' is a project that the DJ uses to put out sets that take him back to his roots, often going back to different eras of his music and exploring sounds that might not be his usual style. And while the latest addition, 'REDUX 004' that dropped on April 4 has only four tracks, as opposed to 'REDUX 003' that had a whopping 18, it still manages to create a vibe that only Kaskade can.
The DJ also played the set live from his backyard and got a quarantine party going as he tweeted, "Live #REDUX set RIGHT NOW on Instagram LIVE and Twitch (http://twitch.tv/OfficialKaskade) - I have twitter up on my laptop so I can read what you guys are saying - let me know if you’re vibing." And fans certainly were! "@kaskade is literally a genius for on your mind," said one fan. Another tweeted, "wussup just partying in @kaskade backyard."
The first track off 'REDUX 004', 'Love Like That' featuring vocals from Dani Poppitt, is already a fan-favorite with listeners tweeting, "Love like that by kaskade!!! Wow on repeat for the next 24hrs." The remaining three songs, 'Sexy', 'Find Love', and 'Feel It' are just as good though, and despite the release being so short fans couldn't help but shower it with love.
One fan said, "That was super short but such a good set @kaskade thank you. Can’t wait to hit the dance floor for real again for the tour."
Fans also thanked the DJ for making their quarantine feel less dull. One fan tweeted, "redux set was short but so sweet! Do I wish I could be at Petco park right now? YESSSS. But that hour was absolute bliss. Nonetheless, thank you Kaskade! You’ve made this quarantine so much better," and another tweeted "Had the best dinner guest tonight," adding "@kaskade thanks for keeping us all sane during this crazy time...hope to have you over for dinner again sometime soon!LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NEW EP!!! #REDUX004 #MUSICISTHECURE #Kaskadeisthecure #kaskadekonnect"
Fans also found the set uplifting, tweeting, "Really brought a mood to my day." Another added, "Wow my heart is so happy @kaskade is so amazing. now that’s what you call a backyard boogie."
Others decided to make the event even more special by turning into a party. One fan tweeted "Went on a mission to go buy stuff to make Piña Coladas so I could enjoy a good nice drink while I listen to my favorite dj @kaskade do a live set #Redux004 ily," while others took a break from their regularly scheduled activities, tweeting "I’m not sure how productive my last hour of studying was for EMTB but THANK YOU @kaskade for putting on that #Redux set"
Some fans were sad they wouldn't be able to see Kaskade perform live due to all events being canceled to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, stating "to think we were all supposed to be in SD to catch the redux show sadly the corona virus had other plans," adding "but at least we get to live stream it thanks."
Another fan said, "Vibing out cuddled up in my Redux blanket watching @kaskade Imagining we’re all in San Diego enjoying each other," and some fans chose to remain optimistic as ever, stating "Super bummed to not be seeing you at @MeowWolf in a few days, but even more stoked for August now!"
