While American citizens are anxiously waiting for November 3 results, Kanye West took to Twitter to share his experience. The rapper tweeted, “God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust... me.”

The rapper has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump. However, he had announced that he was running for president of the United States in the 2020 election on July 4 this year. He had said, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.”

Independent reports that he unsuccessfully attempted to get on the ballot in all 50 states, and even spent at least $12M of his own money on the campaign. However, in October, Ohio and Illinois, the artiste’s home state, announced that West can't appear on the ballot, as he did not receive enough signatures to stand as an independent candidate. West also missed many deadlines to appear on the ballot in key states after he failed to hand over the documents required to register in time. But he still managed to be on the ballot in 11 states. However, the report says none of them are considered swing states this year, and mostly would not have any impact on Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s votes.

Recently, the rapper had clapped back at Jennifer Aniston after she urged her fans and followers on Instagram to not vote for the rapper. In response to Aniston saying that "it's not funny to vote for Kanye", the 43-year-old rapper retorted that her iconic series ‘Friends’ that ran from 1994 to 2004 “wasn’t funny either”. His latest tweet also received a lot of reactions. One user said, “I voted for you yesterday in Minnesota!!! it was wonderful seeing your name on our ballot!!!” Another said, “Imagine the first time you ever voted being for yourself... this man different lol.” A user tweeted, “Imagine Kanye actually wins.” Another said, “What a waste of your vote.” One opined, “I mean tbf if you're running, why not vote for yourself. Wouldn't make much sense to give someone else ur vote when ur running.” Another said, “I voted for kanye too. Forget what people on twitter think. You can vote for whoever you want.” One stated, "Kanye West voting for himself on the first time he ever voted is a level of self love we all need."

In August 2020, the 43-year-old rapper clarified to Forbes via text on August 6 that instead of running for president, he was “walking" and then quickly added that he was "walking... to win". Not just that, when he was told that he practically couldn't get 270 electoral votes, he said, “I’m not going to argue with you. Jesus is King.” Previously, MEAWW reported how Donald Trump was directly asked about claims that GOP operatives are trying to help the rapper's election bid. At that moment, Trump replied supporting Kanye and praising his wife Kim Kardashian, "No, not at all. Other than I get along with him very well. I like him." The president then gushed, saying that he likes Kanye’s wife.
