Kanye West, out of nowhere, shared a snippet of a new song called 'Believe What I Say'. The rapper, whose last track was titled 'Wash Us in the Blood' and featured Travis Scott, took to Twitter on Saturday (September 26) to post a 38-second clip of the track which samples Lauryn Hill's 1998 hit 'Doo Wop (That Thing)'. The tweet was accompanied by a video shot on a boat.

In 'Believe What I Say', the 'Gold Digger' rapper says: 'You ask him to feel protected / And still feel protected / Just one time for the record / Just one time for the record / Don’t agree with the message / Don’t agree with the methods'. Check out a preview of 'Believe What I Say' below:

Talking about the release of the snippet, one excited fan tweeted, "holy s**t! Kanye flipping one of my favorite Lauryn Hill songs? Might actually die and ascend to heaven if this full track ever releases," while another fan, expressing similar sentiments, wrote, "Damn! We already know when Kanye samples Lauryn Hill it’ll be a classic."

Another Kanye fan, talking about his 2004 track 'All Falls Down' off the album 'The College Dropout' which contains an interpolation of Lauryn Hill's 'Mystery of Iniquity' from her live album 'MTV Unplugged No. 2.0', said the following: "'All Falls Down' my favourite Kanye song. Made me a fan all those years ago. Another song from him sampling Lauryn Hill after all this time – New classic OTW! #DONDA"

Recently, Kanye has been involved in a one-man war against the music industry. He first announced that he'll not be releasing anymore new music till he's done with his contracts with Sony and Universal Music Group. Later, he tweeted screenshots of every single page from his confidential Sony contract before posting a video of peeing on his Grammy Award.

Speaking to Billboard Magazine about the music industry, West said, "You only need to look back to the early days of the record companies and see how predatory they were. Old execs admit it. The contracts are almost the same now. The shape, the terminology... And yet, in that time we moved to a completely digital age. Has the attitude of the labels and the structure in which our music moves on our side changed to that degree? No, it has not."

Earlier this year, in the summer, West announced that he'll be dropping his next album titled 'Donda' after his late mother Donda West in late July, but the release, which he said would be accompanied by a movie, has not yet transpired.
