Kanye hires Samantha Spector after firing third divorce lawyer ahead of Kim Kardashian hearing
Kanye West was spotted spending time with friends after firing Chris Melcher, his third divorce lawyer. Ye was seen exiting his hotel in Miami with a friend, wearing a bulky leather jacket, plain tee, jeans, and rocking a pair of Balenciaga x Crocs rain boots.
During the outing, the rapper was spotted with a friend who was also wearing an all-black ensemble including black shorts and a black ‘Rolling Loud Club’ hoodie. The father-of-four appeared to be in a good mood as he flashed a big smile while taking a stroll on the sidewalk on Monday evening. Reports of the 44-year-old rapper firing divorce lawyer Chris Melcher surfaced on Tuesday. Sources revealed that the working relationship between the rapper and Melcher “had become extremely difficult, with little communication.”

Since then, the ‘Praise the Lord’ hitmaker has moved on to hire top gun lawyer Samantha Spector to represent him in the ongoing divorce proceedings. Spector previously represented Nicole Young in her divorce from Dr Dre. The news comes right before the hearing on Wednesday that will potentially approve Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single.
Recently, Kanye, who keeps sharing and deleting Instagram posts repeatedly, has reportedly filed legal documents in the court claiming that his wife cannot prove he wrote the now-deleted social media rants. However, Kim Kardashian has been pushing to get the divorce as soon as possible.
The documents read, “Kim claims she read something online allegedly by Kanye and characterizes the posts in her declaration as misinformation. Kim needed to offer the social media posts into evidence, and show that the posts were written by Kanye.”
The Grammy-winning rap icon had slammed Kim Kardashian’s parenting skills and had also dragged her current boyfriend Pete Davidson into the mess, hinting that he might harm him. It looks like the ‘Donda’ hitmaker has filed documents to make sure that the divorce battle with his reality star wife doesn’t get easy for her. Earlier, Kanye had accused Kim of kidnapping their daughter North West after the location of her birthday party was kept a secret from him in January 2022.
