Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler move in together amid rumors of 'Elvis' star putting career before love

Austin Butler and his girlfriend, Kaia Gerber, have become so close that he will now be lending a hand in her household chores. The couple, who have been together for a year-and-a-half, recently decided to move in together, sources reportedly said.

Their relationship is unaffected by their age gap, with Gerber being 21 and Butler being 31. An insider revealed that Gerber's parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande, support the couple.

‘It sounds cheesy’

"They’re very much in love. He’s always at her place, and she’s always at his place, so they figured why not just live together," an insider reportedly said, adding, "It sounds cheesy, but their relationship is the real deal. After two weeks of dating, Kaia told him that she loves him, and now she’s asked him to move into her Los Angeles home!"

The insider continued, “Kaia feared they’d be worried about the 10-year age gap. But she knew her mom and dad would warm to Austin once they met him — and they did. Cindy and Rande have totally welcomed Austin into the family and approve of them living together."

When did Austin Butler start dating Kaia Gerber?

Rumors about Gerber and Butler first started in December 2021, shortly after the medel's one-year relationship with Jacob Elordi came to an end. Their relationship remained low-key until spring 2022, when they made a public appearance together at the Met Gala. Although they did not attend the Academy Awards together, where Butler was nominated for Best Actor for 'Elvis', they attended the Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party together.

Throughout their relationship, Butler and Gerber have mostly kept their romance away from public scrutiny. When asked about their relationship in an interview in 2022, Butler said, "I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that. But thank you for providing the space." Prior to his involvement with Gerber, Butler was linked to Lily-Rose Depp and ended his nine-year relationship with Vanessa Hudgens in late 2021.
