K-pop group TWICE drop ‘I Can’t Stop Me’ English version, fans say the girls are ready for 'world domination'

TWICE’s ‘I Can’t Stop Me’ English Version packs a punch and delivers the same fierceness of the original version released this October. Fans are hailing the K-pop group as the next in line for world domination.

“I can't stop me” is a catchy synth-wave number with bold lyrics protecting the group’s confidence and sky is the limit ambition. The song which tells a tale about the internal conflict between good and evil is composed by a number of artists including Melanie Joy Fontana, Michel Lindgren Schulz and A Wright and the Korean lyrics were written by Park Jin Young and Shim Eun Ji. 

The music video also dwells on a retro theme where the girls sing the chorus in an '80s inspired setting, "I'm surrounded by that spot, spot, spotlight/ As it shines on me, I'm swept into the darkness/ I see the end, I know it's not right/ I can't stop me, can't stop me/ Right in front of me, this red, red, red line/ Across from each other, you and I exchange glances/ Wanna feel this thrilling highlight/ I can't stop me, can't stop me."

‘I Can’t Stop Me’ has also been monumental for TWICE’s personal record where it became the fastest MV for the group to reach 100 million views in just about 11 days breaking their previous record of ‘MORE & MORE’ which reached the milestone in 12 days.

After the English version released, fans took to Twitter to appreciate the group’s stunning vocal delivery in English and announcing TWICE coming for world domination. A fan page posted, “The ARTIST OF THE YEAR is finally making its noise in US! Antis may bark, but they can't change the fact that TWICE WORLD DOMANATION is now progressing ...TWICE US DEBUT. TWICE ON THE LATE SHOW” referring to the group’s debut on Stephen’s Colbert’s late-night show.
