Justin Bieber shows up for Drake in DJ Khaled's 'Popstar' video, fans say surprise act 'is just what we needed'

DJ Khaled released the music video for his hit song 'POPSTAR' featuring Drake. Announcing the music video, DJ Khaled wrote that a surprise is coming everyone's way. Fans started to speculate what this surprise might be. Khaled wrote, '#POPSTAR OFFICIAL VIDEO TONIGHT @djkhaled feat @champagnepapi We got a big surprise #FANLUV stay tuned #WETHEBEST #OVO directed by: @directorx tonight !!!!!!!! Soon!'

It was soon revealed that the surprise is Justin Bieber! The superstar, who recently released his fifth studio album 'Changes' this year, made an appearance in the 'POPSTAR' music video. Making the announcement, Khaled wrote, 'POPSTAR OFFICIAL VIDEO - STARRING DJKHALED @Drake and @justinbieber WATCH NOW ON @youtube.'

It starts with DJ Khaled yelling at Drake to make a music video for his track. Finally, to help Khaled out, Drake calls in a favor from none other than Justin Bieber who agrees to star in the video.

Fans who weren't expecting Bieber to be in the video were elated at the development and took to Twitter to express their excitement. One fan wrote, 'justin bieber didn’t come to play in the popstar music video.'

Another fan simply wrote, 'Justin Bieber in the new popstar video is just what we needed,' while another said, '. @justinbieber looks flawless on the music video of "POPSTAR" by @djkhaled and @Drake.'

Many fans weren't able to control their emotions on watching their favorite artist on-screen. More Beliebers took notice of the fact that there's no one else in the world at this point who is a bigger pop star than Bieber or embodies that lifestyle better than him. Many even appreciated the tiny details in the music video and the various appearances in it. As one Twitter user pointed out, 'The creativity and storytelling in the new the Popstar video is another level. I love this sh*t it blows my head. You can only be excited for what’s next.'

Fans also pointed out Scooter Braun and King Bach in the music video and said, 'Sh*tttt King Bach, Scooter Braun and Justin Bieber in Popstar MV.'

DJ Khaled released two tracks with Drake, 'POPSTAR' and 'GREECE', earlier this year. Since dropping the two singles in July, Drake has released 'Only You Freestyle' with Headie One, 'ALL I NEED' and 'TWIST & TURN' (both with Popcaan), and a solo track titled 'Laugh Now Cry Later' featuring Lil Durk.
