'Just a jilted ex-girlfriend': Tiger Woods responds to allegations, says Erica Herman is 'not a victim of sexual assault'
JUPITER, FLORIDA: Tiger Woods has claimed that Erica Herman is not a victim of sexual abuse but rather just a 'jilted ex-girlfriend' as per court filings, according to a report. The golf legend's assertions come after Herman appealed that the nondisclosure agreement she signed be declared unenforceable as she was allegedly a victim of sexual abuse.
Woods has accused his ex-girlfriend of trying to obstruct the court process in his answer filed on Monday. Woods alleged that Herman hasn't provided evidence to support her claims during their months-long legal battle. "Herman is not a victim of sexual assault or abuse sought to be protected by Congress when enacting the statute," Woods said as per the court documents.

'Herman wants to publicly litigate specious claims in court'
Woods said, "Rather, Herman is a 'jilted ex-girlfriend' who wants to publicly litigate specious claims in court, rather than honor her commitment to arbitrate disputes in a confidential arbitration proceeding," the New York Post reported.
In the $30 million lawsuit filed by Herman, she alleged that Woods booted her from a Florida estate by using trickery and abuse. The court documents filed by Herman said that Woods' trust persuaded Herman to pack a suitcase for a short vacation and when she arrived at the airport, they told her she had been "locked out of her residence in violation of the oral tenancy agreement and in violation" of the Florida law. The oral tendency law allowed her to stay at the home for 11 years.
However, Woods has refuted the claims by asserting that Herman herself removed the items from the home and informed him that she wouldn't be returning.
'Herman's position is utterly meritless'
In the lawsuit, "She checked the box for "no" when asked 'does this case involve allegations of sexual abuse,'' Woods has alleged in the fresh court fillings. "Herman's position is utterly meritless," Woods claimed. He added, "It is a transparent abuse of the judicial process that undermines the purpose of the federal statute and those whom the statute seeks to protect," TMZ reported. Woods, as per the report, is now asking a Florida court to force her to abide by the NDA's arbitration provisions.
Herman is now fighting for the NDA that she signed in 2017 when their relationship started so as to speak about her experiences with the golf legend. It allegedly involves sexual abuse and rape. Herman, as per another report citing court fillings, had checked "yes" under a question asking if the case involved “allegations of sexual abuse.”
