Check that! Tiger Woods checks off item from ardent nine-year-old fan's bucket list in wholesome interaction
PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIFORNIA: A young Tiger Woods fan had her day made when her idol, the golfing great, interacted with her in what is now the most wholesome sporting interaction of the day. Madelyn Quinn, 9, had come to watch the Genesis Invitational tournament where Woods was playing with a striking signboard that caught the legend’s attention.
Quinn was seated in the front row in the grandstands behind the 17th green, where she held up a sign that read, “My bucket list: Get Heart Transplant, Meet Tiger Woods, Play Augusta.” Woods may have missed the opportunity on the reachable par-5, but he did take a moment to walk over to the fan and also took it upon himself to check the second item, "Meet Tiger Woods", on her list. The Daily Mail reported that Woods also made sure to give the little girl something to remember the day by. He signed and gave her a golf glove, before giving her a high-five which was caught on camera.

A dream come true
Later on, Quinn's father, Greg, took to social media to express his happiness at his daughter’s bucket list item getting checked off. “Her name is Madelyn Quinn and she is alive today because of the heart transplant she received at the age of 1. Now 9 y/o, Maddie loves all thing golf and she is is ranked 41 in the world (US Kids) girls 9 division. Thank you @TigerWoods for making her dream come true. #prouddad,” Greg tweeted, in response to the video of his daughter getting a high-five from the man himself posted on the PGA Tour twitter handle.

Who is Madelyn Quinn?
Interestingly, Quinn isn’t just another fan. She is an aspiring pro golfer herself who is ranked in the Top 50 of the US Kids division. She was born with a heart defect, and has already underwent three open heart surgeries, the earliest being when she was two-years-old. Since her last one, she has been at full health.
"It was the most miraculous transformation we had ever seen,” Quinn's father had said, according to Golf Digest, adding, "Her cheeks were rosy, she was warm to the touch for the first time. You don’t realize until you live it every day what heart failure can do. She’s been going a million miles an hour ever since."
