Julia Wandelt: Woman who thinks she’s the missing Madeleine McCann slams online trolls for bullying her
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Julia Wandelt, who believes herself to be the missing Madeleine McCann, has expressed her anger towards trolls. The 21-year-old Polish woman has gone viral lately for her claims on Instagram that show her sharing similarities between her and Madeleine, who vanished from a holiday home in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2007.
In one of her posts, Wandelt pointed out that like the missing child, she also has a mark on the eye. She shared, “I have Mark in the same eye, but my Mark is faded and I talked with eye doctor and he told me that it could be operated and I will go to doctor again to check it. I need Police investigator who will take it seriously!” She has also added that her looks are quite similar to Kate and Gerry McCann, the missing Madeleine's parents.

But many people online don't support her and have sent nasty messages to her. Wandelt is not happy with such online trolls, reported news.com.au. When psychologist Dr Fia Johansson told her to give her reaction to people’s negative comments, Wendell said, “I can say... thank you for support, these people who supported me and... f*** off to people who made me cry. I’m sorry I had to but telling me that I should die, it’s very, very mad. It’s not nice.”
“I didn’t plan it for months to become McCann just because someone said something. You are not in my situation so you can’t say what I should do. I’m not ashamed because this is my past, it’s not about this case. This is the best way I can do for myself and you don’t know me personally, so don’t judge me please,” she added.
‘She claims she has Julia's birth certificate’
This comes as Dr Johansson is trying to get one of Wandelt’s Polish family members for a DNA test. The private detective told The Sun, “My feeling is that we need to force the mother or a member of Julia's family to take the DNA test rather than disrupt the peace of Kate and Garry, which is not necessary. If a current family member will take a DNA test we could solve this. But they are refusing to.”
She continued, “I have been personally talking to Julia's mother and told her we will make her safe and secure in any way she needs but she is still refusing to take the test. She claims she has Julia's birth certificate but our worry is that you can easily forge this.” Dr Johansson also added, “I made a prediction in 2019 that Madeleine was alive and loved music and will end up finding her identity by herself. So all of a sudden I thought with this case there seemed to be a lot of matches, Julia is a talented musician she plays piano. Also the town she is living in is very close by to Germany. At this moment I can't answer whether this is Madeleine or not. But a lot of things are following my own prediction and I can't ignore that.”
