Julia Fox’s dad, brother arrested as ghost guns and drug-manufacturing materials seized from Manhattan apartment
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Julia Fox's father and brother were arrested in their Manhattan apartment after police found ghost guns and evidence of narcotics manufacturing during a raid as part of a larger investigation. The recovered items included ghost guns, 3D-printed parts, unidentified pills, fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, propane, formaldehyde, and thousands of high-end wine bottles mixed in with the contraband. Both were taken into custody and charges are pending.
Suspicious online purchases delivered to the address tipped off investigators, sources revealed to New York Post. Neighbors witnessed men in Hazmat suits going in and out of the building throughout the day of the raid. The officers left the building carrying a box of papers and wires about 12 hours after the initial raid. Fox was not present during the raid and is believed to be unaware of her family's alleged crimes.

'He’s like a mad scientist recluse'
Prior to her brother's arrest for alleged narcotics manufacturing and possession of ghost guns, Fox had spoken in past interviews about her single father and brother. She described her brother as a 'mad scientist recluse' who enjoyed building 3D printers for fun. However, sources close to the family described him as a gentle and withdrawn person who 'wouldn't hurt a fly.' According to a source in early 2022, Fox was also known for her affinity for drugs in many New York City circles before she launched her acting career. At 17 years old, Fox survived a near-fatal drug overdose. She reflected on her past and acknowledged that many people she knew growing up had not been as fortunate and were still struggling with drug addiction, imprisonment, or had passed away.
From art scene to breakout actress
Fox's rise to fame began in the art scene of New York City, where she worked as both a muse and artist. She self-published two books of erotic art photography, 'Symptomatic of A Relationship Gone Sour: Heartburn / Nausea' in 2015 and 'PTSD' in 2017, which she exhibited. Despite the pandemic, Fox had a busy year in 2020, divorcing her pilot husband and giving birth to her son. She announced the pregnancy and birth with a nude photoshoot on Instagram. Her popularity surged on TikTok in 2021, where she shared her experiences as a single mother and being neurodivergent. Fox's breakout role was playing Adam Sandler's girlfriend, Julia De Fiore, in the 2019 film 'Uncut Gems', which earned her a 'Breakthrough Actor' nomination at the 2019 Gotham Awards. Since then, she has appeared in several films, including 'No Sudden Move' (2021), 'Puppet' (2022), 'Paradise' (2020), 'PVT CHAT' (2020), 'Goody Grace' (2020), and 'Dish Nation' (2022). Fox's brief romance with Kanye West following his divorce from Kim Kardashian also brought her a lot of attention. Her next major film role will be playing hairstylist Carrie White in an adaptation of White's bestselling memoir, 'Upper Cut: Highlights of My Hairdressing Life', written by screenwriter Susan McMartin.
