Joseph 'Jo Mersa' Marley, the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, has reportedly died at the age of 31. It is being said that the Jamaican American reggae artist was found unresponsive in a vehicle, according to a tweet by journalist Abka Fitz-Henley. Joseph's cause of death is yet to be revealed.

"Jamaican/American Artiste, Joseph Marley, who's also known as Jo Mersa (@JoMersaMarley), was found dead today in the USA. Marley was found unresponsive in a vehicle. Marley is the son of Reggae Star Stephen Marley & the grandson of reggae legend, Bob Marley," Fitz-Henley tweeted.

Bob Marley reportedly had 11 children with seven different women. His son Stephen Marley is the father of Joseph. Stephen also has a daughter, Mystic Marley, who is a musician. His siblings include musician Ziggy Marley and entrepreneur Rohan Marley.

Stephen Marley, a Jamaican-American musician, is an eight-time Grammy Award winner. He composed and produced all the songs of some of his self-produced solo albums, including 'Mind Control' (2007), 'Mind Control Acoustic' (2008), 'Revelation Part I: The Root of Life' (2011), and 'Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life' (2016). 

Stephen reportedly lives in Miami, Florida. He started his professional singing career when he was seven years old, joining siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella in their group called The Melody Makers.

Tributes poured in on social media after news of Joseph's death surfaced. "I’ve just learned of the tragic loss of Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley. A talented young reggae artiste, son of Stephen Marley & grandson of Bob Marley at only 31 yrs old. The loss of a child is a devastating blow no parent should face, my condolences to Stephen & the entire family," one user wrote on Twitter.

Another said, "My deepest condolences to Stephen Marley and the entire Marley family. May Joseph Marley, better known as Jo Mersa, rest in peace!! My goodness!!!!!!" "Oh no! Blessings and Peace on his poor family," wrote one.
