MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Actor Jonathan Majors was recently arrested on suspicion of "strangulation, assault, and harassment" on his ex-girlfriend. However, the 33-year-old claims that witness testimony and video evidence will prove his innocence, noting that the ex-girlfriend allegedly hit the club in the wake of the domestic violence allegations.
Majors' lawyer filed for paperwork in Manhattan on Wednesday, April 19, claiming a driver for the actor witnessed the altercation and said the woman was trying to steal his phone. In addition, he claimed the driver never witnessed the 'Ant-Man' actor lay hands on the woman, and surveillance footage from a nightclub apparently points to Majors' innocence and will vindicate him against the accusations. In the wake of the accusation the actor's managing agency, Entertainment 360 also chose to stop representing him. While fans of the actor were livid that Majors was getting canceled even as another problematic actor Ezra Miller is still being employed by the studios.

What happened between Jonathan Majors and his ex-girlfriend?
Lawyer Priya Chaudhry said that Majors' driver claims the Lompoc, California-born actor never laid a hand on his ex-girlfriend "in any way at any time, or even [raise] his voice" in their dispute. Instead, she said the driver will also testify to seeing the woman "hitting, scratching and attacking" Majors, who had asked him to pull the car over to exit the physical abuse by his ex. Chaudhry said they have evidence that the woman's claim that her finger was broken and her ear was lacerated was a "complete lie," which could be proven in the hours-long video footage from the club.
Chaudhry said in the footage the woman could be seen drinking at the club in the wake of the violence which conflicts with the claims that she suffered the aforementioned injuries at the hands of the actor. The lawyer also claimed the woman texted Majors, threatening to kill herself and accusing him of cheating, Chaudhry said in legal docs obtained by TMZ.

The lawyer also stated that in the footage from the nightclub, the woman was seen frequently using her right hand, which she said the 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' actor injured during their altercation. The legal doc stated that in the footage the woman appeared to be styling her hair, rummaging through her purse, sifting through credit cards, and holding her phone and a champagne glass, proving her fitness amid claims of an alleged injury to her hand.
In the wake of the allegations, several individuals who claim to have been abused by Majors have been coming forward since his arrest in March and are currently cooperating with the Manhattan District Attorney's office in preparation for the actor's court hearing on May 8th, according to a report by Variety.
