LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joanna Lumley has admitted that she wasn't particularly fond of her and Leonardo DiCaprio's kiss during their scene in 'The Wolf of Wall Street'. According to the 76-year-old, their kiss was about as romantic as 'snogging in a dentist's waiting room' and Martin Scorsese had to reshoot it around 15 times before he was satisfied with it.

In the 2013 film 'The Wolf of Wall Street', the 76-year-old actor co-starred with Leo as Emma, the affluent British aunt of Margot Robbie's character. The pair's kissing scene comes when DiCaprio's character Jordan Belfort tries to sweet talk his wife's aunt Emma into hiding his ill-gotten gains in Swiss bank accounts. The couple ended up kissing when they were sitting on a park bench.

'It's actually no fun kissing actors'

"I did kiss Leonardo DiCaprio, about 15 times in fact," Lumley recalled, as per The Telegraph. "But I'll let you into a secret. It's actually no fun kissing actors, no fun at all. There are so many takes and you both have to chew so much chewing gum. It's like kissing someone in a dentist's waiting room."

It’s not the first time the 'Shirley Valentine' star has commented on the scene. Back in 2014, Lumley said that the scene actually took closer to 27 takes to master, explaining she and DiCaprio kept mints handy while filming the scene as a "courtesy," as reported by The Mirror. "You both chew gum and eat peppermints as if you’re disinfecting a hospital," she said.

"Actors are very sensitive about that because if you’re singing or talking close to someone in front of the camera, or kissing, it is really quite intrusive. It’s just a courtesy – teeth cleaned virtually to extinction."

Leonardo DiCaprio is rumored to be dating 19-year-old model, Eden Polani

While the 'Absolutely Fabulous' actress is happily married, Leonardo DiCaprio's love life has become a hot topic lately. The 'Catch Me If You Can' actor is known for dating women nearly half his age and apparently breaking up with them as soon as they turn 25. Recently, he left people more shocked as he’s believed to be linked to 19-year-old model, Eden Polani. Before Polani, DiCaprio was believed to be dating 23-year-old Victoria Lamas, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas.
