‘Titanic is older than her': Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, called a 'creep' for dating 19-year-old model Eden Polani

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Leonardo DiCaprio's love life has become a hot topic lately. ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ actor is known for dating women nearly half his age and also apparently breaking up with them as soon as they turn 25. But this time, he has left people more shocked as he’s believed to be linked to a 19-year-old.

Reports have said that DiCaprio is currently involved with Eden Polani, a model, as he was seen with her at Ebony Riley's release party of the new EP on the night of February 2. The two were seen sitting next to each other. While the 48-year-old star donned a black bomber jacket, a matching shirt, and dark jeans, the teenager rocked a white t-shirt with a gray pinstripe suit. Adding charm to her basic look was a gold chain. Before Polani, DiCaprio was believed to be dating 23-year-old Victoria Lamas, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas.

Twitterati call DiCaprio 'repulsive'

Many took to Twitter to slam the actor as a user tweeted, "The power dynamic of his age, his wealth, and his fame over a 19 year old girl is actually repulsive."

The same user also wrote, “And the fact that the girls he’s dated have gradually gotten younger says *a lot*. ppl saying she’s an adult so it doesn’t matter are really telling on themselves lmao I’m 24 and I wouldn’t even date a f**ing 19 year old, what exactly does he have in common with someone under 20 besides a creepy interest in her appearance.”

Another user shared, “Titanic (1997) is older than Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend😭.” A third pointed out, “What can 50 year old DiCaprio possibly have in common with a 19 year old? I’m 38, 19 year olds are the most different people on the planet, I’d have no idea what to even talk about.” Someone else wrote, “I was thinking about this last night. That age difference is enough that the girls mother could very well have had DiCaprio posters on her wall in high school.” Another added, “Where creepiness is concerned, being a celebrity is usually a prerequisite for it.”

Katherine Ryan criticizes DiCaprio

Dr Charlotte Proudman, Director of women and girls campaign Right to Equality, tweeted, “Not enough people are talking about Leonardo DiCaprio who is almost 50 — and ‘getting close’ to a 19 year old teenage girl.” Comedian Katherine Ryan said in response, “This is literally all I’ve talked about for SEVEN YEARS.”

Author Caitlin Moran commented, “I feel like he has Titantic trauma. He's dating women like he's still the age he was when he shot it, and he's ALWAYS on holiday on a yacht. Dude needs some EMDR.” But when a user asked Ryan, “They are both adults. What's the crime?” she replied, “No crime just a creepy pattern.”
