KENYA, AFRICA: First Lady Jill Biden on Sunday, March 5, called Republican presidential nominee Nikki Haley's idea to mandate mental competency test for public employees over 75 years old "ridiculous." Jill add that President Joe Biden would never agree to take the test.

Jill asserted that she and her husband, who is already the oldest commander-in-chief in US history at 80 years old and would be 82 at his inauguration if reelected, would "never even discuss something like that." She responded, "Ridiculous," to the question regarding Haley's idea when it was brought up in an interview that was featured on March 5 'State of the Union' edition of CNN. Jill, whose complete interview will run Monday, March 6 at 9 pm, cited Joe Biden's unexpected journey to Kiev last month to meet with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion as evidence of the politician's tenacity.

What is the intent of Nikki Haley's mental competency test?

When Haley, a former US ambassador to the UN, declared last month that she was running for 2024 presidential run, she made clear reference to Biden and former President Donald Trump, who is 76 and has already declared his candidature for the office again. 

Haley, 51, spoke to the crowd as her campaign was formally introduced in Charleston, South Carolina as she said, "We are more than ready for a new generation to lead us into the future. Ready to move past the stale ideas and faded names of the past.”
