LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jessica Simpson celebrated the holiday season by posing next to a red Christmas tree in an Instagram snap posted on Friday, December 23. The 42-year-old fashion designer flaunted her slim figure in a vibrant blue and black jacket and slim-fitting pants after revealing earlier this year that she had lost 100 pounds.

She was pictured sporting knee-high lace-up boots along with large, silver-hooped earrings and rocked a sleek straight hairstyle. She also had on a pair of dark sunglasses and held a luxurious red, white, and black Celine purse in her hand as she posed for a quick snap. The mom-of-three captioned the post with festive red and green heart emojis.

Earlier this year, Simpson revealed that she lost 100 pounds after giving birth to her third child in 2019. 'The Dukes of Hazzard' actress said she went to see a nutritionist and got her eating habits in order to make the epic transformation. The actress and singer talked to Extra's Terri Seymour to share some striking insights about her weight loss journey. Seymour asked Simpson, "Why are people obsessed with your weight and how you look? Have you gotten used to it?" The 'With You' singer replied, "Oh, gosh, no. Would any woman?" She continued, "I've been criticized, and it hurts, but I've been every weight and I've been proud of it. I decided, Okay, everybody is going to talk about my weight all the time, I might as well make money off of it and turn it into a business of selling clothes and acceptance."

"We all have our days of wanting to be, look, do and feel better," Simpson wrote on Instagram. "Nobody is alone with that feeling, that I can promise you. I woke up at the same time anxious and insecure, but also angry and defensive — like some of you. i know what works for me and that is to let go and simply sing while looking directly in the mirror, straight in my eyes to really see and understand myself. I can connect with my heartbeat. I am stable and strong. I am home."

She also had some advice for her fans. "A little advice…live inside your dreams and move through them," she wrote. "Don’t give up on yourself because someone else did. Stay true to YOU. It has worked for me in this chaotic life thus far. Nothin’ and nobody will rob me of my joy. Ya might come close but it is mine to own. Yours should be too."
