Jesse Williams’ HUGE ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ salary revealed after he asks to pay less in child support
Jesse Williams' earnings during his time on 'Grey's Anatomy' have been revealed in new court documents. The 41-year-old actor's financial details were revealed in a petition on Tuesday, March 29 in Los Angeles, where he urged to cut his $40,000 per month child support payments to ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee. He portrayed Dr. Jackson Avery on the hit ABC series.
“I am requesting the Court reduce the child support to a reasonable amount I can afford given the significant reduction in my income and the now fluctuating nature of my income,” the actor stated in court documents obtained by HollywoodLife. “The child support of $40,000 per month ($480,000 per year) which commenced October 1, 2019, was based almost entirely on my ‘Grey’s' episodic fees which were my then primary source of income.”

The former model claimed that he receives $1,668 per week working on Broadway's 'Take Me Out', compared to the Emmy Award-winning show's staggering total of $6.2 million-plus $183,000 in residuals.
“Child support was also based on my other sources of income which included my ‘Grey’s’ residuals for shows I appeared in during the marriage, and after Aryn and I separated, as well as sporadic income from occasional smaller acting, endorsement, or appearance work,” he added. “All of my additional sources of income were/are far less than my former episodic fees from ‘Grey’s.”
Jesse and his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee parted ways in April 2017 after marrying in 2012. The ex-couple shares two children, Sadie and Maceo. Things between the pair became ugly after a month of their divorce since Jesse was apparently unhappy with the way Aryn was handling things. He felt she wasn't allowing him to spend enough time with the kids. A judge ruled in September 2017 that the parents should split legal custody of their children. However, Jesse was not granted joint physical custody until March 2018.
