Jeremy Renner wishes daughter Ava on her 10th birthday, credits her 'hugs' for helping him heal
WASHOE COUNTY, NEVADA: Despite the long road to recovery ahead of him, Jeremy Renner is not letting his injury get the best of him. The actor took to Instagram to wish his daughter, Ava Berlin, on her 10th birthday.
This comes just two days after the actor posted a video of himself on a treadmill, showing the remarkable progress he had made after the almost-fatal snow-plow accident on January 1. On Tuesday, March 28, the 'Hawkeye' star posted an adorable photo of him with Ava.

Jeremy Renner credits Ava's 'hugs' for helping him heal
"Happy 10th birthday to you! So very proud of you in every way. Your hugs and your love have healed me so incredibly fast," the 52-year-old actor, who has 37.1 million followers, wrote alongside the photo. He further wrote, "I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you. I am your father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you, Daddy."
Ava was born during Renner's 10-month marriage to Sonni Pacheco, which ended amicably in 2015. The 35-year-old realtor-sculptor posted a black and white photo of Ava when she was a baby with the caption, "Happy 10th birthday to my first baby." She also posted other photos of the child along with her week-old daughter Wylder Rayne.
A very close shave
Renner had a very close shave on the day the accident happened. The accident caused him to break 30 bones and the actor has undergone two surgeries for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.
He has been working hard in physical therapy since. In the video he uploaded to Twitter, he was seen walking on an anti-gravity treadmill on March 26. The actor explained how the machine helped him to feel "less weight," almost like he was walking using handlebars or a walking stick.

Les Garland, who oversees his record distribution through Record Street Music, says in the video, "That's very great. And you're executing the walking motion well." “Yes, precisely," he responds, adding, “That accounts for 40% of my body weight”.
On the work front, Renner will next be seen on Disney+'s 'Rennervations', in which he will travel around the world restoring old, vintage vehicles.
