Jeremy Gara's 'Passerine Finale': Release date, tracklist and all you need to know about Arcade Fire drummer's second solo album

Jeremy Gara, the drummer of Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire, is all set to release his second solo project titled 'Passerine Finale'. The album will be released by Invada Records which is run by Geoff Barrow of Portishead.

Announcing the album, Gara had tweeted, "beyond excited to announce @invadauk will be releasing my new record, Passerine Finale, on Sept. 11, 2020."



 

The drummer, who released three studio albums with Canadian indie rock Kepler between 2000 and 2005, shared the first track from 'Passerine Finale' titled 'wraith'.



 

The record was also available for free full stream on Bandcamp. To announce this news, Gara himself tweeted, "ahead of next week’s release, Passerine Finale streaming/download for the next 24hrs! exclusively at http://invada.bandcamp.com @Bandcamp."

Release Date

'Passerine Finale' is slated to release on September 11, 2020. While announcing the release date of the album, Gara also shared a video for 'wraith', the album’s first single.



 

Gara also revealed that it took him a total of three years to create 'Passerine Finale'. His last solo record was 2016's 'Limn'.

The internet reacted positively to the tracks released by Gara. Sharing the Bandcamp link to the complete album, one fan wrote, "@jeremygara. This is fantastic!"



 

Another fan of Aracde Fire, praising the latest release 'L-06' by Gara, tweeted, "Amazing how these guys come together under one umbrella every 3-4 years."



 

A fan, excited about the latest release, wrote, "Holy f**king hell this bodes well: L_06 (Single) from Jeremy Gara."



 

Arcade Fire, on the other hand, marked the 15th anniversary of their debut album 'Funeral' in 2019. The 'Reflektor' hit-makers also contributed a new version of the Disney song 'Baby Mine' to the 'Dumbo' soundtrack. Lead vocalist Win Butler had earlier this year said that the band is working on a new Arcade Fire album; the follow-up to 2017’s 'Everything Now'.
