Jennifer Garner 'happy' about Ben Affleck's engagement to 'positive influence' Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Garner is 'happy for' her ex-husband Ben Affleck as his second engagement to Jennifer Lopez has been publicly confirmed. An insider revealed to E! News that Garner is sure and she 'knows that J-Lo has been a positive influence in certain ways.'
Moreover, Ben who shares three children with ex-wife Garner, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10 allegedly hinted to them about the proposal beforehand. The source told the publication, "Ben told Jen and the kids, so they knew about it."

Another insider that spoke with Us Weekly that, "His whole family knew a little before [the announcement]." They added that Bennifer 2.0, the newly engaged couple "waited a few days before sharing the news” publicly. “They are both happier than ever.”
Another source told E! News that the couple "had hoped to keep it private a little bit longer." JLo shared a clip where she officially made their engagement public by showing the gorgeous green sparkler. As for the actual moment, an insider told US Weekly that the engagement was, "a very intimate moment, just them two." The source added, "The proposal was low-key but very meaningful. Ben wanted the ring to be sentimental and put a lot of thought into it." The engagement ring is 8.5 carats with a natural green diamond center stone.
The second engagement for Bennifer 2.0 comes almost 20 years after they were first engaged in 2002 and split two years later in 2005. After parting ways, the two remained friends and Ben married Garner and called it quits in 2018, whereas Lopez had twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and they separated in 2014.
In April 2021, Bennifer got back together and a month later, they confirmed, "full-on dating and very happy together." They kept it on the down low for a few months but made it official on JLo's birthday in July 2021 when the couple celebrated the day on a yacht. A source said, "The past few months have been a real whirlwind. They’re well aware some cynics still look at it as a big flashy attention grab and roll their eyes at the speed of it all, but it doesn’t faze them one iota. They’re fully committed to taking the next steps and spending the rest of their lives together."
