'Two queens in same room': Fans rejoice as Jennifer Coolidge's first TikTok video features Jennifer Lopez
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Jennifer Coolidge has only recently joined TikTok, but her first video is already jam-packed with celebrities. The 'White Lotus' star began her first post on the platform with a dramatic reading of a "poem" she claims to adore. "Hi, this is my first TikTok, and I was trying to think of something cool to do, and I think I'm just gonna do a poem that I like," she said. Coolidge started by reciting the lyrics of Jennifer Lopez's 'Jenny from the Block'. "Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got by the rocks that I got," she continued.
She added, "I'm still Jenny, Jenny, Jenny from the Block." The hit track's vocalist was seated next to her as Coolidge gently panned to her left. "I like that," Lopez remarked, transfixed by Coolidge's performance as if she were hearing the lyrics for the first time. She said, "I really, really like that." The video was then cut off with a sneaky grin as Coolidge panned the camera back to her. "She captioned the photo as "Trying out TikTok!" and tagged the singer.

Coolidge's duet with Lopez comes as the duo advertises their brand-new romantic comedy, 'Shotgun Wedding'. Both Lopez and Josh Duhamel, her co-star, discussed the movie and their experience working with the recent Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Award winner in an interview with ET. "It was one of those things where everything came together," Lopez said about the film. "And then we had this really big expensive supporting cast, amazing stars, and comedians that were supporting us," she added.
Duhamel, for one, has been a fan of Coolidge since her days on 'Seinfeld'. "I’m a huge fan," Duhamel exclaimed. "She is a wonderful person to have around the set. She's very chill. What I’ll never forget about working with Jennifer was that we didn't know if she was like, doing it on purpose or if it was like part of her thing -- it's almost like an Andy Kaufman thing," he said of Coolidge's eccentric character choices. H added, "It makes everybody feel like we need another take, and she's like, 'No, I’m good.' And then you see it, and it's brilliant... She's one of those enigmas."
The recent award season has been quite eventful for Coolidge, "You've given me a new beginning," Coolidge joyously proclaimed to Mike White on Tuesday, January 10 at the Golden Globes. The 61-year-old actress's first Globe triumph in her nearly 30-year career was undoubtedly a huge new experience at the event.
Brad Pitt and other celebrities attended the awards ceremony but Coolidge is by far the most talked-about and praised performer, as reported by Yahoo Entertainment. Coolidge won the 2023 Golden Globe Award for best supporting actress in a limited series, anthology series, or TV movie for her depiction of Tanya, a fan-favorite character on HBO's successful series 'The White Lotus', at the awards event on Tuesday, January 10 night.
People were quick to respond on social media, with one commenting, "She could just blank stare at the camera for a min straight and I would still find it to be the best tiktok ever." Another said, "OMG Jennifer Coolidge? THEE JENNIFER COOLIDGE on tiktok??? " A third chimed in saying, "Jennifer squared! two queens in the same room." A fourth tweeted, "someone call 911 JFlop has Jennifer Coolidge hostage!!!!!"
