Jennifer Aniston denies eating 'unhealthy' viral TikTok salad on 'Friends' set
Jennifer Aniston has denied claims that she ate a salad dish that went popular on TikTok every day while filming her iconic 90s show 'Friends'. In an interview with Elle, the Emmy Award-winner, 53, clarified the charges made by the 'Lovely Delites' culinary blogger Hannah on social media in May.
The salad is a modern twist on the classic Cobb salad, with red onion, cucumber, pistachios, fresh parsley, mint, and chickpeas. “Well, that salad, dare I debunk that? That’s not the salad that I had every day on Friends,” 'The Morning Show' star told the publication. Rumors regarding Aniston's diet began to circulate after Courteney Cox said in a 2010 interview that her co-star ate the same salad every day for ten years while working on the set of 'Friends.' “I feel terrible because it’s literally taken off like crazy, and it looks like a delicious salad, by the way, but that’s not the one that I had on 'Friends',” Aniston explained. "To be honest, I'd never put that many chickpeas in a salad. Not healthy for the intestines."

Garbanzo beans, often known as chickpeas, are a kind of legume high in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and protein. Cooked chickpeas, on the other hand, contain complex carbohydrates and fermentable oligosaccharides that can be difficult to digest and are not fully absorbed from the stomach. “Let’s see what all the hype is about,” Hannah says to her followers in the viral TikTok video. She then shows off a large bowl of chopped veggies. “This recipe is perfect if you’re trying to practice your chopping skills.” She delves into the scrumptious dinner after slicing up the full list of healthful components and stated, “That’s all that’s to this recipe, it’s really easy. However, I do think it needs dressing but it’s still really good.” Hannah, a Los Angeles-based home cook, stated in the popular TikTok video that the salad is ideal for honing slicing skills since the components are finely chopped for optimal flavor.
Cox, who co-starred in 'Friends' with Aniston, stated in 2010 that Aniston cooked the salad for herself and her female castmates every day. The 'Scream' actor, 57, revealed, “It was a Cobb salad that Jennifer topped with turkey bacon and garbanzo beans and I don’t know what." “She’s just really good with food, which really helps. Because if you eat the same salad every day for 10 years, it better be a good salad, right?" she added.
Aniston made other revelations too, including the first thing she does in the morning. She said, "I keep going to meditation. I have a mantra. There are apps that you could get on your phone depending on what your mood is. Sometimes I like guided, sometimes I like to just sort of have my own mantra." She revealed her further plans saying, "All I’ve been reading honestly is scripts. I’m in the midst of reading Morning Show season three scripts. My morning is water, meditation, season three, reading scripts, and outlines."
