LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The wait is over! Tron is back after a long hiatus. The first glimpse of 'Tron: Ares' has been unveiled, featuring Jared Leto in the enigmatic role of Ares.

This sci-fi adventure also boasts a stellar cast including Evan Peters, Gillian Anderson, and Hasan Minhaj. Directed by Joachim Ronning with a script by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne, Tron: Ares promises to deliver a thrilling return to the digital realm.

Following a delay caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike, the filming for Tron: Ares is finally underway. The much-anticipated sequel to the sci-fi franchise boasts a new lead, with Jared Leto stepping into the digital world as Ares. Unlike the previous films that focused on the Flynn family, Tron: Ares breaks the mold with an original story.

Will it be Ares who escapes the Grid this time, or will we see a whole new conflict emerge within the digital realm? Boasting a fresh cast and a dynamic directorial team, 'Tron: Ares' holds the promise of an electrifying return to the visually stunning world of Tron.

Disney and Jared Leto revealed a sneak peek poster on social media for the upcoming movie 'Tron: Ares.' The caption on the poster asks "ARE YOU READY?? TRON: ARES 2025 See you on the grid… "

With the highly anticipated release of 'Tron: Ares' scheduled for 2025, fans are already expressing their excitement in the comments section of the post. One user pleaded for the trailer and said, "Ahhhh we need the trailer plsssssss!!!"

While some others were urging for Draft Punk's soundtrack, "Bring back Daft Punk for the soundtrack and I don’ care about the rest. Just get them back together for the movie." Another fan appreciated Jared Leto saying, "Holy Smokes!!! Yes yes yes!!! I can’t wait!!! So excited for this @jaredleto!!!!"

Another fan wrote, "I’m gonna have a panic attack… FINALLY AFTER 15 YEARSSSSS." "YESSS! I have only been waiting 14 dam years for this. I literally Googled this for years hoping to see some movement on this project," said another fan.

Despite the cult classic status achieved by 1982's 'Tron,' the agonizing wait for a true follow-up has been a challenge for fans. Although 'Tron: Legacy' emerged in 2010, it fell short of capturing the magic that made the original so beloved.

Longtime Tron devotees have shared their relief and anticipation after what felt like an endless wait. Clearly, 'Tron: Ares' has ignited a spark in the Tron community, promising a fresh story, a stellar cast, and a return to the captivating digital world.

The initial glimpse of 'Tron: Ares' has sent fans into a buzz of excitement. The most surprising revelation is the return of the Tron: Legacy designs, hinting that the movie might serve as a sequel to that film, possibly continuing the story within the Grid created by Kevin Flynn.

An intriguing detail to note is the red color scheme in the image. Traditionally, red has been associated with villains in Tron lore, suggesting a potential new threat emerging, possibly even embodied by Jared Leto's character, Ares.

This shift to a red Grid introduces a fresh visual element for the franchise and hints at a potentially darker and more complex storyline.

Leto's character also holds a triangular Light Disc, which is a first for the franchise. Light Discs have always been circular, so the reason for this new design remains a mystery. The fact that Leto is wielding it though confirms his status as a program within the Grid.

With the promise of a fresh story, a brilliant cast, and a return to the visually dazzling Grid, Tron: Ares is shaping up to be an electrifying sequel.

While the wait until 2025 may feel like an eternity for eager fans, the cryptic clues hidden within the first-look poster ensure there will be plenty to speculate about in the meantime.
