'Our heart aches': Janelle Brown reveals her beloved pet dog Jack died of autoimmune disease
FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: Janelle Brown, star of 'Sister Wives,' seems to be going through a difficult time. Recently, Janelle has suffered a terrible loss. The 'Sister Wives' star revealed on Monday, March 13, that Jack, her dog, tragically died after falling ill. Along with the news, Brown posted a few pictures of Jack and her other dog Bryn.
The Internet is heartbroken over the loss of the star. Just last week, Janelle's dog Jack was taken to the emergency vet because he was "very sick," but the star had kept her followers updated that his illness was controllable. But sadly, Jack lost his battle with the disease, as the 'Sister Wives' star shared on Instagram, "My sweet Jack passed away this morning. Thanks to the vets @canyonpethospital who worked so hard to save him these past few days, but sadly his body just couldn't overcome the disease that struck him suddenly late last week." The reality star seems to be having a hard time in the last few months, as this news comes after she herself had health problems.

Janelle Brown announces her pet dog Jack's death
After a sudden illness claimed her dog Jack, Janelle mourns his loss. The reality star's pet often appeared on her social media and recently she revealed that Jack died, as she wrote, "My sweet Jack passed away this morning." The star also shared that Jack was considered a family pet as she got him from her mom. "Jack was my mom’s dog that we took in after my mom’s passing a couple of years ago. But he wasn’t a stranger to us. I was with mom when she adopted him and he spent many months each year staying with us when mom visited. We had a special bond before he came to us full-time," she wrote in the caption.
In the end, Janelle added, "He will be really missed. My other pup Bryn is a little lost. And our hearts ache. But I am glad he is no longer suffering.” Earlier this month, Brown uploaded numerous Instagram Stories of her pup when he was "pretty sick" and had to be taken to an emergency vet. Later, Janelle revealed to her fans that Jack was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, but doctors said the illness was manageable. But apparently that was not the case, because unfortunately the disease took his life.
Janelle Brown's tough few months
Janelle seems to have had a rough time in her life. In recent months, the star has received one bad news or another. In December 2022, it was announced in the series that Janelle and Kody have decided to separate. Throughout Season 17, there have been several hints that they might break up at some point. Kody said in a November episode that the couple's marriage had suffered because of Janelle's decision to live in a mobile home. In another episode, the two reality stars questioned whether their marriage was still working. In 1993, Janelle married Kody in a polygamous marriage, becoming his second sister after his first wife Meri Brown.
Recently, in February 2023, Janelle was dealing with some health issues when she shared an update with her followers. Since her breakup with Kody, the star has been on a journey to lose weight and improve her lifestyle, but a month ago she revealed in her Stories, "Down for the count with a stomach bug today." But now all is well and Janelle often shares the changes she has made in her life to stay fit and healthy.
