Jamie Foxx's condition 'not changed' weeks after hospitalization amid conflicting reports on wellbeing
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Jamie Foxx's condition has reportedly "not changed" in the weeks after he was rushed to hospital due to an undisclosed medical emergency. Meanwhile, fans voiced their concerns for the star amid a wave of conflicting reports about his condition in the wake of his hospitalization.
The 55-year-old actor, born Eric Bishop, was reportedly filming the action-comedy 'Back In Action' with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia, last month when he was admitted to hospital, albeit very little is known about his condition. He is said to be undergoing tests at a medical facility somewhere in Georgia, but while some insiders have claimed he's "doing ok," others have said his family are "hoping for the best."

Sources told Page Six last week that "nothing had changed" and that Foxx was "still in the same confition" after his health scare last month. This came days after the 'Collateral' actor appeared to break his silence by posting on social media. "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," read an Instagram post on his profile, followed by praying hands, heart and fox emoticons.
That said, fans had their doubts whether Foxx himself wrote the post. Considering there are barely any details released on his condition, a lot has been left up in the air for speculation. However, the star offered some reassurance to his followers when he gave a shout-out to his pal Nick Cannon for filling in hosting duties for him on the popular game show Beat Shazam. "Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon See u all soon," Foxx appeared to write on his Instagram Stories, followed by a fox and a heart emoticon.
Meanwhile, Foxx's Instagram post received several messages of support from fellow celebrities including Ludacris, DJ Khaled, and AJ McLean. Insiders with knowledge recently told TMZ that the 'Django Unchained' star "needs all the prayers and well-wishes his fans can muster." One source told the outlet, "He's OK, thank God. He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."
Fellow comedian Kevin Hart also offered a positive update on Foxx's condition during a recent appearance on Logan Paul's 'Impaulsive' podcast. "I'm very fortunate to have the relationship that I have with Jamie and to be able to just check on him and stuff like that," he said, adding that Foxx's family was being "tight and for reasons just about where he is, because Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree."
The 'Die Hart' star, 43, noted that the outpouring of love and support has been a major factor in his pal's recovery. "The dope thing is that he's getting better in his situation, and you know, everybody's prayers, everybody's love, energy. All that stuff is seen and felt," Hart said. "So in this case, man, you know, you just want the guy to get out of the situations and then get back home. You know, I don't know the details, or the exact details to what's going on, but to my knowledge is there's a lot of progression and a world of better, man," he added.
Foxx's health scare was originally revealed by his daughter Corinne, who shared a statement on social media on April 12. "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," the 29-year-old actress wrote. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time," she added. The family, however, has shared limited details since that statement. It remains unclear what symtoms the performer may have been suffering from, per the Daily Mail.
