James Marsters reunites with 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar at 'Wolf Pack' launch
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor James Marsters is now a silver fox! The actor looked older but still recognizable as the vampire Spike when he attended a premiere to launch his former co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar's new Paramount+ series Wolf Pack in the US. The California-born actor, 60, is famous for his role as the 'bad boy' vampire who played an antagonist in the first few seasons of the beloved 90s TV series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' before becoming a bonafide member of the 'Scooby gang'. He has since gone on to star in other supernatural, sci-fi and detective shows and has also cemented a career as a rock artist.
It was a 'Buffy' reunion moment when Marsters stepped onto the red carpet with his former on-screen lover, Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played Buffy, at the 'Wolf Pack' premiere. The two smiled at cameras as they leaned together, with James' hand resting on Sarah's back. While Sarah Michelle Gellar has forged a path into films after 'Buffy' ended, Marsters took on another iconic recurring role on 'Doctor Who' spin-off Torchwood as Captain John Hart. The role was specifically written for him by showrunner Russell T Davies. He also appeared on the crime drama 'Hawaii Five-0', playing mastermind Victor Hesse.

James has also appeared in the HBO series 'The Devil You Know', which is based on the Salem witch trials. James split from his wife Patricia Rahman after 10 years of marriage in 2021. Although the couple did not have any children together, Marsters has a son from a previous marriage.
After proposing to Rahman in Trier, Germany in May 2010, the pair got engaged when she was studying fashion. They are said to have first met during a concert in Amsterdam some years before and later married in Los Angeles in January 2011. "I met her backstage and got her phone number, but then my jeans were cleaned out by the crew and they threw it out", Marsters had told People magazine in 2006 about their meeting. "I'd given her my number but she took down one digit wrong. It took her six months to call all of the different combinations."
Marsters was previously married to Liane Davidson and the pair have a son, Sullivan, 24. After eight years of being together, the actor ended his marriage to Davidson in 1997.
MEAWW previously reported that Sarah Michelle Gellar has stated that of her two children, her daughter seems to be more inclined towards social media than her son. She reportedly said that her son “doesn’t care” about being part of the social media world but her daughter on the other hand seems to have developed a taste for it. This has pushed Gellar to have talks with her daughter about the "permanent" nature of what she posts online on platforms such as Instagram or TikTok.
