'Abusers attract abusers': James Franco feels WRATH of Johnny Depp fans after Amber Heard slips up

Depp's loyal fans stormed Twitter dubbing Franco a scumbag and slamming Amber for calling him over when Depp was out of town

Amber Heard got caught in a tricky situation during her trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp on Tuesday, May 17 when a video footage of the actress was played in the courtroom. The film showed Amber and actor James Franco in an elevator going to her penthouse just a night before she filed for divorce from Depp on May 22, 2016.
 
The loyal fans of Johnny Depp stormed Twitter dubbing James Franco as a scumbag and slamming Amber Heard for calling Franco over when Depp was out of town. When cross-examined over the same by Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez, the ‘Aquaman’ actress first said that she does not remember Franco coming over, to which Camille quickly pulled up a tape to show the elevator footage evidence.

‘He was my friend. And he lived next door’

In the video footage, James Franco and Amber Heard can be seen resting their heads on each other's shoulders. They later exit the elevator together. When asked why Amber "felt comfortable having James Franco over the evening of May 22, 2016?”, the actress responded, "I do not know when James came over," to which the attorney said, "Okay, let's remind you." She then played the elevator surveillance footage of Amber and Franco with the timestamp reading May 22, 2016, at about 11 p.m. on their way up to her penthouse.
 
Amber later confirmed that it was James Franco in the video footage. During the cross-examination, Amber stated, “He was my friend. And he lived next door, quite literally next door. And I, frankly, had exhausted my support network with my usual friends and was happy to welcome as much friendship at that time as I could possibly get." Amber had changed the locks of her penthouse as she was "falling apart" and having difficulty sleeping because of panic attacks over Depp entering the residence she was staying. She also testified that building staff would allow the actor to enter despite being told not to.

Social media users flocked to Twitter to slam James Franco and accusing Amber of cheating Depp with him. “Isn’t James Franco a sex offender? Nice choice Amber”, said one user as another posted, “Crazy how Amber Heard is so loyal to James Franco when he's the one actually accused of sexual abuse towards several women. Abusers attract abusers.” The next one shared, “Johnny Depp being gaslit in real time is so crazy how are you going to say he was paranoid about AH having affairs when she was on tape with James Franco??”
 
One user added, “You’ve got to be a real piece of s**T James Franco, to meet up with Johnny Depps wife in the middle of the night and have an affair with Johnny’s wife in Johnnys own f’ng house. All the while Amber telling Johnny he’s crazy for accusing her of having an affair with #jamesfranco” Another said, “Are we really supposed to believe  James Franco who preyed on women for his sexual pleasure was just hanging out with Amber heard after 11pm the moment she knew Johnny could not get into his own house she must think the whole jury is stupid.” And, one concluded, “Wow. I guess James Franco wanted to double down on being a scumbag. I hope he invested his money properly.”
