James Corden's restaurant ban drama leaves Internet baffled over comedian's 'egg yolk omelet’ order

​'The Late Late Show' host James Corden was briefly banned from the New York restaurant Balthazar for treating staff with rude insults

Fans on the internet have been left baffled by James Corden’s recent restaurant row in New York where he sent back an egg yolk omelet his wife ordered because it had a bit of egg white in it. Corden is known to display strange behavior at times, according to many with one in particular named Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar. He described Corden as a “tiny Cretin of a man” after the mannerless incident.

The Late Late Show host, Corden, was also banned from the restaurant because he treated the staff with rude insults and was termed as one of their most abusive customers by McNally. In an Instagram post, the restauranter narrated two separate incidents that led to Corden being banned from the establishment. “James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.

Corden lost his cool for the second time at the restaurant in New York according to McNally's post which said, “MANAGER'S REPORT # 2: James Corden was at Balthazar with his wife on October 9th for brunch. He asked for a table outside. Brunch Maitre D' Allie Wolters took the party to table 301. Mr Corden's wife ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad. A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, MK and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk. MK informed the floor manager, G The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad. That's when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can't do your job! You can't do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!’ MK was very apologetic and brought G over to the table. He returned the dish, and after that, everything was fine. He gave them promo Champagne glasses to smooth things out. G said that Corden was pleasant to him but nasty to the server. MK was very shaken but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift.” In another post, McNally confirmed that Corden called him over and apologized for his actions. 

Although, Twitteratis have raised questions if an omelet without the egg white is really an omelet as one user commented: “I'm sorry but anyone who orders an ALL YOLK omelette deserves to be banned from every restaurant.' Another one added; "a lot going on here but WHAT is an all egg yolk omelette!!" One user said, "Ofc I’ve read all the gossipy stuff over the years about Corden being a shitbag but re the McNally post I’m particularly fixated on the idea of someone ordering an all-yolk omelet." Another person joked sracastically, "for every egg white omelette there must be a corresponding egg yolk omelette." "James Corden’s wife ordering an egg yolk omelette with gruyere is the kind of Hollywood decadence we all suspect is happening but rarely see exposed like this," a user commented. "I thought that was an extravagant egg typo. I was like “this can’t be right. They thought ‘white’ and put ‘yolk’ in the notes.” a user chimed in.
