Returning to Instagram, Travis Scott recently teased his fans during the official unboxing of PlayStation 5 with a Livestream on YouTube, which also saw the collaboration of new PS5 low-dunk Nike kicks with his in-house label, Cactus Jack. Since Travis Scott enjoys a massive fan following across the globe, the Livestream got a tremendous response on the video-sharing site. However, the Livestream came with a surprise performance of British singer-songwriter James Blake and people were more than ecstatic to see him perform during the Livestream.

The 32-year-old crooner was decked up in a black suit paired with a white shirt as he mesmerized the online audience with a brand new untitled song on his piano. The Internet could not keep calm and thus erupted with joy on Twitter. Talking about the surprise performance, one user said, “James Blake killed that performance.” One user tweeted, “Go ahead and hate James Blake he’s the one writing Travis songs lol he’s 10x more talented than Travis.” Another user added, “what does James Blake have to do with the ps5? Mad confused LMFAO.” One social media user asserted, “That James Blake performance gotta be the best thing I’ve watched in a while...” Another felt the opposite and added, “what the hell did i just watch lmao why was james blake there why was he so obviously not playing the piano what was travis doing in the desert anyway am i okay.”

Interestingly, James Blake has earlier collaborated with Travis Scott on the song ‘Mile High’ which was part of the former’s 2019 album ‘Assume Form.’ The song also featured American record producer Metro Boomin. James Blake also dropped an EP recently titled as ‘Before.’ Speaking to NME about the same, he described the new project to NME magazine as, “stepping into your skin a little bit” explaining, “I wanted to unite some of the dance music I’d made earlier in my career with some of the songwriting I’d done all the way through – it feels good to put out up-tempo music with my voice on it.”

Speaking of the Livestream unboxing event of PS5, it also paid a short tribute to the late rapper Pop Smoke who was shot and killed in February 2020 at his pad in Los Angeles. The tribute saw Pop Smoke performing on stage whilst his hit songs were played in the background.
