Singer-songwriter Jacob Whitesides, who rose to fame as a contestant on 'The X Factor', has released his brand new single titled 'Hold Me Down'. Announcing the release of the song, Jacob, in all caps, first tweeted, "Hold me down at midnight," followed by another tweet, again in all caps, "Hold me down is out now holy f**k."

'Hold Me Down', which has been written by Whitesides himself, is an upbeat pop track much in the same vein as his last release 'God Took A Bow', which dropped in April 2020. Fans of the singer were quick to flock to Twitter and share their feelings about the new track. One fan, talking about how good 'Hold Me Down' is, tweeted, "Jacob Whitesides new song hold me down is so good it deserves a grammy #holdmedown" while another praised the song saying, "How can I move on from 'A Piece of Me' (EP) to #holdmedown? Jacob Whitesides, your music is the best as always! Stream because why not?"

Showering Jacob with praises, a long-time fan wrote, "The fact that I stan Jacob Whitesides since 2015 makes me feel so proud. Jacob always puts his everything to put up such masterpieces. I love you! #HoldMeDown," while another, calling the new single his best work, said, "Jacob Whitesides 'Hold Me Down' is your best work! I'm in love. I've wanted this song for 2 years. I love you so much!"

Another impressed fan, streaming the track on three platforms simultaneously, added, "I kept my promise baby this is f**king amazing! Streaming on all three. I'm so proud of you #HoldMeDown Jacob Whitesides," while another, talking about the lyrics, said, "Dam! The lyrics hit me right where it hurts. It’s a bop though!" Talking about the love for the 22-year-old singer, a fan added, "Jacob Whitesides, I love you so much dude, gotta sleep but just wanted to say how proud I am of you and how much happiness you bring into my life. I adore you, gonna stream all night #HoldMeDown"

Before today's 'Hold Me Down' and April's 'God Took A Bow', Whitesides had previously released the single 'Whole' in 2019. He's released two studio albums, 2016's 'Why?' and 2019's 'Colors'. You can stream 'Hold Me Down' on Spotify and Apple Music
